Master Don Juan
Hey fellas,
I first registered at this sight 9 January 2000 and back then I sure was hooked, posting every single day. I really thought this board was a gift from heaven.Anyway, I haven't been here in nearly a year (maybe Dee-zy might remember me) I feel that I owe Don Juan Discussion Forum a little something in return for EVERYTHING it has taught me about woman and life
.I know a lil about the science of resistance training so that is the only thing I could contribute.
I have been working out for the past four years and have tried numerous workout routines; EAS Military Program, EAS Fitness Guide, EAS Football Program,EAS Firefighter Program,EAS Law Enforcement Program,YMCA Fitness Program and Bill Phillip's Body for Life Program (one of my favorites).Nevertheless, the one training program that has completely changed my entire outlook on resistance training has to be the OFFICIAL US NAVY SEAL PHYSICAL FITNESS GUIDE.This book has to be the bible of all physical conditioning material, not to mention it is more comprehensive than any Personal Trainer's manual (300 pages long). US Navy SEALS actually have to study this manual to pass their in-class physical exam.As my "fitness data" hungry eyes :eek were soaking up the fantastic concepts off the pages I was instantaneously filled up with fresh inspiration and wanton motivation- I wanted to run to the gym down the street and punish my muscles under the weights!!:< I'll even leave a link to a site where I would recommend that you invest in a copy of this sacred book:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=1574189337
(copy and paste in browser)
I believe that you have to switch your workout routine every three months, in order to effectively confuse the muscles and refresh the mind. Also after every three months, a one week rest break is required.Overtraining results in nothing but injured ligaments and wasted efforts.
I religiously believe that the most important factor of the resistance conditioning formula undoubtably has to be Nutrional Intake. Before even constructing a gym workout regimen, design a fully functional and strict nutritional intake program with one FREE day a week(where you may eat the sinful foods). The most important time to consume protein is right after a workout and right before you go to sleep, not mention intaking 8 glasses of top quality filtered water a day and another 8 hours of beauty sleep.
I have briefly covered some of the miniscule basics of weight training, if I had more time I would love to sit here for hours typing and typing more knowledge regarding this amazing science. However, like most matters in life please remember you need to TRAIN your MIND before you TRAIN your BODY.You can never have a strong body if you don't first develop a strong mind.
I will leave you with a quote that you should imprint in your mind and perhaps also your training logs:
"DREAM like a champion! THINK like a champion! EAT like a champion! TRAIN like a champion! ACT like a champion! LOOK like a champion!
and for God's sake- PLAY like a champion!"
- Ryan
God Bless and Good Luck my Brothers,
Ryan.
