Theres a book that goes more indepth. Looking for the master DJs opinions on this. I noticed somethings go against some of the things said here.

1. In order to make a woman feel special, do something special

When you want to impress a woman, do not ever say: "So ... what do you want to do now?" A real Casanova has always a plan; he doesn't hesitate and knows what the next step is. In this way, the woman gains trust in him and lets herself dominated with pleasure. In order to seduce a woman, as the old conqueror was saying, imagine that you must ask her to be your wife and organize the evening as you think best (except for the ring).'

2. The privacy is sexy

A flattered woman is almost conquered. And nothing flatters more a woman than the moment she feels that she captured the entire attention of a man. If you invite her out, there's no sense to share the evening with other friends. Go with her somewhere away from the noise, from other couples, from everything that could distract her attention. A woman is herself only in privacy.

3. Let her feel fascinated by the fact that...you're fascinated by her

Casanova was inviting women in rooms full of light and mirrors so that they enjoy their image from all angles possible. Also, a woman feels sexier when she looks in a mirror. If there are no mirrors, than you must become yourself a mirror in which she can admire herself. What do you mean? It means that you should show her what her effect on you is: smile her from time to time, pay attention to her and don't ask to her questions (make her think that you can't hear her because of her fascination). If the girl is nice, don't say that to her, because everybody tells her that. Say her that she's intelligent and you'll be in advantage.

4. Ask her what she is thinking about

Show her that your interest for her is deeper than the appearance. That she is not just an ornament. When you perceive a woman as a simple object, you have the tendency to focus more on yourself and then you're not a Casanova. Seducing a woman took many hours for Casanova, time in which he knew what to ask and how to listen. The reason why women found Casanova as being fascinating was the fact that he considered them fascinating! It's easy to make a woman speak about herself. You just have to ask questions with an open-end and then shut up. The old conqueror was touching first the soul of a woman before daring to touch anything else.

5. Don't grudge now!

If she accepted to go out with you, don't count your pennies in front of her. Exaggerate with your attention. These exaggerations consist in small, but important details: caviar, an expensive present at the first date, the most expensive champagne from the menu. Once she accepted them, she will accept the others (from the bedroom). It's enough to make her fall into sin a little (by a sumptuous dinner, for example), as she will fall into sin again.

6. Pay attention to her senses

Casanova was using aphrodisiacs. He was perfuming the room with tuberose because it was believed that this flower stimulates the sexual appetite and he was also serving oysters and champagne. He was making her talk- don't forget that any woman enjoys the music of her own voice- and, from time to time, he was touching her slightly to remember her of his presence...

So, pay attention to the 5 senses of the woman next to you. Each of them has a small engine that you have to warm.

7. Be patient!

Although Casanova was excited by women who weren't wearing a corset, but only a lance shirt, he wasn't impatient. He thought that if you taste the pleasure too soon, you can't taste it entirely. So you must know that the foreplay does not start with 60 seconds before the sexual act and it not even starts in the bedroom. It begins from the first moment of the date.

8. Play!

The food and drinks ordered by Casanova were mostly sexual hints: oysters, soft cheese, ripped, juicy fruits, sparkling wines. One reason was that he was enjoying seeing a woman eating this kind of food. Another reason was that he was excited by the entire game. When a slippery oyster was falling in her décolletage, he was offering himself to take it from there. Casanova knew that sex is not a serious thing, but a game for adults. So, when you ask her out to eat something, remember that the foreplay has already started, Eat both one from the other's hand, drink from the same glass...

9. Be spontaneous!

Casanova was patient, but he wasn't loosing any occasion. When a woman offers herself to you, forget about all the other Commandments and enjoy your luck.

10. Make her sexy gifts

Casanova was buying to women sexy underwear, giving them a reason to try them. Thus, the game was starting. Don't offer to a woman very serious presents from the start: books, fur coats. It's enough to give her something ethereal, a silk scarf, a sexy bodysuit. Ask her to try the outfit in the bathroom and let her make a fascinating presentation. She will already be excited.

OK, I've read Casanova's Memoirs, and this post has absolutely nothing to do with Casanova at all. Absolutely nothing.

First of all, Casanova was either very rich, or very poor. He was always gambling so he was always either rich or poor. With most of his women except for Henriette, he didn't even have caviar or chocolate on his mind. He never mentioned that in the memoirs - why? Because he never thought of it that way. He got women because he was incredible at conversation. Everybody who talked to him instantly knew he was smart and very witty. His wits brought him very far indeed.

Henriette was an exception. He bought her the most expensive dresses, brought in a language teacher for her, bought first class tickets to a local concert, he did all that under the pretext that she was alone in the city. But normally he never even needed that. By the time Henriette had to leave him, he was almost broke.

He plans very meticulously on how to be alone with his woman. Also, the fact that he was witty, and his wit helped him rise ranks quickly (particularly when he was in the military) made the Marchioness pay attention to him (you know which one if you've read the books).

The only iron rule he laid out with regards to women was that one must never ever swear eternal love/fealty to a woman, no matter how beautiful she is.

Also, Casanova had severe oneitis. But only for the women in front of him :D

I've read Casanova's memoirs also. I have two things to say about the subject.

1. Casanova does NOT have "oneitis",

If you read chapter 14 (where he recently took his job change from an abbe to military officer, and on his visit to Orsera the second time), and the part about the surgeon, you'll realise that the surgeon had an increase in 50 customers in less than one month due to a sexually transmitted infection caused by casanova.

The surgeon and casanova confirms the cause of the infection was from casanova himself.

Also, when he was in Venice, he was not very loyal to Nanetta and Maria, the two sisters whome he swore his love for.

Though, I want to agree with you: that casanova loved his women, and it would seem that his love for any woman, on the surface, is exclusive and reliable (what you call "oneitis"). Yet we must not forget that Casanova was selfish (a trait I admired about him - he was selfish in his quest for growth and adventure) and a famous libertine.

2. You are absolutely right! he was very witty/clever, that's one of the things I found when reading through the book. Intelligence and wit are two different things, one person can be intelligent but not witty, yet casanova has both! If not for you, I would have never realised how he used it for his attraction (writing poetry, fooling husbands, and sneaking off with women). I thought he was attractive because of his social programming, not because of his cleverness...

...Wait... aren't intelligence and wittiness the same thing? My mind never made the connection between the two... lol. never mind what I said...

Casanova was incredibly intelligent - even by today's standards (where religion, racism, and bigotry are not as rampant as it was before the 1800's). You can tell by the way he writes, he has an amazing power of critical analysis, even though he admits to his own irrational beliefs.

So intelligence can really be used for attraction, I never thought of how powerful intellect was until I wrote this... this just shows how ignorant I am...

The reason I didn't deleted the 3 paragraphs above, is because maybe someone might gain the same insight that I had, by reading the 3 paragraphs above; and maybe a discussion can be started?

I guess my main point is this: Casanova does not have oneitis

You're right - I guess I was influenced by the way he wrote things. Casanova wants everyone to believe he has oneitis. Certainly doesn't seem like that was motivated by a sense of guilt though.
EDIT: You know what, I think he just sat down and went "I wonder how I can spin this so that I can get at least one reader to go 'Casanova had oneitis'" Certainly a worthwhile challenge for good old Casanova!

if the 10 commandments are how to get rid of a woman as fast as possible than that's an excellent book

I dn't know why people look at Don Juan as the epitome of how to get women. If you actually sit back and read his story was the most famous AFC of all time.

he could never have anything that remsembled a LTR, all of the women he bedded and slept with were basically overwhemled by him for a few days and he would have these mini affairs and then move on. Hell i could do that before i came here. most of you could do that.

i got tired of being in a relationship for 3 months or start dating a girl / going out and having her lose interest.

haha. you're right. He probably sat down and wrote these love stories with the purpose of making these women special; and if not for fate, he would settle down with each and every one of them - and (I would predict) that's he misled us.

I think he cared more for romance and less for conquest. Unfortunately, very few women could romantically capture's Casanova's heart and mind. I consider him more a romantic than a libertine.

And I forgot to mention. This "10 Commandments of Giacomo Casanova" has nothing to do with the real Casanova... sorry man.

I've thought that also.

But think about it, that definitely proves that being an AFC is NOT the product of current modern society and culture as a lot of people on this forum claim.

I agree with that. I've always said that bedding a girl is far, far easier than keeping one. Almost anyone can get a lay, but to be the quality of man so as to make her desire you as a mate and want to stay with you is a much higher achievement. That was my main sticking point for a lot of years - I hadn't built enough value yet. I could get them for sex but they wouldn't see me as THE guy. If you're a high value guy they're going to want to stay with you.

Sadly so many guys never ever get to this level and just give up or settle down with a chick who eventually gives them the run around. But I agree with everything you just said mate.
