Thanks you two, you both have helped me a great deal. I started out at about 175lbs (6'2)...now I am at 214 lbs.

Warboss Alex I started off with one of your templates in "designing a workout routine" which worked great....about every 6-8 weeks I change up my routine from the one you posted to... a hybrid of freeweights and machines and then I change it up and only do super-sets for 6-8 weeks.

Quiksilver, your posts have been most helpful and your journal has helped me as well.

tuna has also been a good friend of mine....some people bring guns and knives to school....i bring tuna and hot sauce....

Unfortunately (haha) my wrist is injured now and my goal of 230 will have to wait a few months...will still be working out though!

anyway just wanted to thank you guys and wish everyone the best of luck here

THanks dude, good work.

In turn I'll thank Alex, Effort, and Throttle(among others) for tempering my overanalysing with the beauty of simplicity.

some people bring guns and knives to school....i bring tuna and hot sauce....
Careful with that dude, you might get expelled for bad breath. :)

Congratulations on the gains, and suffering the tuna. :D

I wish more people were like you - taking some basic advice, going and hammering away at the weights and food with consistency and coming back a few months later and tell us they're happy :D instead of sitting on the internet all day trying to perfect or micromanage their routine or diet or supplementation routine.

you will gain the most when you're thinking about it the least. take that to the bank!
