texting.. stuff and stuff

so um hmm.. i had a craving for ice cream tonight so i decide to text this girl i kinda like.. this is how it went

me: i owe you ice cream

her: i just ate some. literally like 30 seconds ago.

me: aww.. i had a craving for some coldstone

her: yeah i just went

me: hmm maybe some other time. what about sunday, are you doing anything?

her: i'm not sure but give me a call

me: well i'm really busy all week. call me and let me know if you're free. there's a concert on sunday

her: ok..what concert?

me: reel big fish and goldfinger, ever heard of them?

her: yeah, i'll call you loater or something to let u know


now um... did i do everything right? we didn't say much, but still.. and just some background information, i really like this girl and we were dating for about 3months oct-dec, and then she said she wanted to just be friends. (basically she became un-attracted to me) so then we didn't talk all christmas break and we haven't talked the past two weeks. we go to the same college together. and i drunk dialed her like 4 times on friday night, i have no clue what i said.. so yeah, i really wanna just be friends with her.. so i randomly texted her that tonight. i tried to somehow comeback when she said for me to call her. but yeah..

Huh? You just want to be friends with this girl but at the same time you're wondering whether you did everything right? This doesn't make sense unless you also wonder whether you're doing things right with most of your other friends too.

You aren't exactly being forthright here and that's your problem. Plus you probably haven't accepted the fact that she's not particularly interested in you. You really shouldn't be telling people that you just want to be friends with her when your actions and feelings says the total opposite.
