About a month ago, I met an attractive girl on a plane. She's in LA and I'm in the Bay. I've been texting her ever since, and because my text game is solid, she now wants to meet up with me when I'm down there. If it weren't for texting, I wouldn't be in contact with her right now.

Similarly if you meet a girl at a bar, virtually the only way to go out with her in the future is by texting. Women do not pick up their phones, especially if they don't know who's calling, and it's way more awkward to talk on the phone with a girl you don't know.

As for the people who think texting "kills" relationships, well, I guess you're not using it properly.

1) For your own emotional well being, don't delude yourself into thinking that you have or may have relationship with this chick. She's an attractive woman in a city with a population of three million plus, you also have to factor in that this city is known for it's over abundance of "beautiful people," babygirl has a gang of options.

2) The only that thing texting has created is a delusion of extreme optimism in your mind. For some reason, you've decided that since this chick returns text messages you have laid the foundation of some sort of relationship. Dude, stop giving yourself a hand job and get your head out of the clouds. Just like you came up on this chick on a flight, (assuming that your weren't lying,) you can come on some chicks in The Bay. Also, if your text game is so solid, why isn't she trying to see you as soon as possible. As a matter of fact, I would make her come see me three to five times before I went to L.A.

Sup everyone. Been here since Monday................anyway I was hitting up this bar during the day and saw these two white chicks. One was an HB 9 from New Jersey and the other was a HB 7.5 from....wait for it.......DALLAS.

I texted her during her out-and-back. In escalating the texting, I said something about keeping texts 'safe for work (for now)'. The floodgates opened. She actually texted that some of our texts got her all wet while she was flying!

By the time she got back and we set a date, she was ridiculously horny. We had a nice date - drinks, talk, yada, yada. I nailed her in a churchyard, took her home and we kept each other up all night.

The usual? No. But don't kid yourselves, it happens.

I'd say texting can help getting things started, but once your in an established relationship, by god avoid texting like the plague. At the very least keep it to a minimum with only short factual information. Stuff like "I'll be at your place at 3, see you then".

Back to the point above, just shows site cares more about itself and making money from ads and being relevant than actually wanting to help people. The advice to confuse, insult, deflect, annoy, frustrate is OK. But advice that really helps but uses some salty language is not.

It's like corporate America, anything about race, gender, or anything controversial they distance themselves from. The money and image is WAY more important.

You should pay attention to the class lecture instead of posting to skinnyguy. You might pass the class that way. Aren't you in your 40's? Who says he has to post pictures of the women he meets?
