Why do girls send a one word text message of "hey." I think she's interested, and I know girls expect the guy to establish control in the convo, but I think texts like these are sometimes attention seeking, to see if youll reply with a long message and display lower value. Should I ignore it, what is a good reply to these kind of messages? I responded "hey" back lol...

i usually just send "hey" or "hey what's up?" back.... it's them wanting to talk to you... sometimes it's better to ignore it... I don't think girls send "hey" trying to get you to display lower value
