Hi. I am planning to go to a free walk-in std clinic. (1)Just wondering if that same time i go there, will they have results? or will i have to come back another time to see results. (2)when you test for an std, do they test for all stds and hiv, or just the specific std you ask for?

The 'free' clinic I went to was $20+$20 for faster HIV testing results. They'll test you for everything. If you tell the Dr. that it burns when you pee or are having a discharge, s/he'll hook you up with meds that day. Otherwise, if you tell him/her that you have no symptoms of an STD, then you'll be told to call back in 2 weeks for your results. :cheer:

I use AIMs testing now, which gives me results in 3 days. However, it costs $120....

HIV, HPV & Herpes!

Not for free.

The free or cheap (~$20) screen generally only includes HIV, gonorrhea (clap), chlamydia and syphilis.

But, that only includes ONE of the 3 main ones you gotta watch out for - the 3 H's:
HIV, HPV & Herpes.

These are scary because they are VIRUSES and thus officially INCURABLE. Not to mention, HPV & herpes are extremely common and condoms don't fully protect against them.

HPV can't be tested for in men (unless you're showing symptoms) and the herpes test costs a few benjy's.

BOTTOMLINE is - a free screening is probably going to leave out 2/3 of the STDs you need to be MOST CONCERNED about. Don't think you're fully safe unless you read exactly what all STDs you were tested for.

REMEMBER to beware of the 3 H's!
HIV, HPV & Herpes!

Test for hepatitis C. This is one of the most under recognized STDs. Its uncurable, viral, and transmitable the same way as AIDs. It is also has the potential to be fatal. I am very suprised a lot of people dont test for this.

If you want to talk, talk to your friends. If you want a girl to like you, listen to her, ask questions, and act like you are on the edge of your seat.
