Terms under LD relationship

A random question. To all those who have been or are actually currently in a LD LTR, what would you say are some conditions that are typical for a successful LD LTR? What are some common red flags to get out of one? Let me know your opinions.

Heres a red flag for you, if your not boning her some other guy is.

Unless you were together before and the relationship was already mature, and the time being away from each other is short or well defined that you are going to be together again, an LDR doesn't work.
I had an LDR and she was with the same friend most of the time (red flag) finally happened, he boned her, she started being indifferent to my trips home, finish.
