I seem to have attained tendinitis (inflamation of the tendons / tendonsheathes) in my lower right arm.
Since this is a lengthy condition, I thought it would be helpful to make a few posts about it as the condition progresses.

Most likely I've attained it due to
1) Excessive use of dump bells
2) Boxing (striking hitting sand bags)

Treatment is rest.. and rest. I'll try to apply a bandage combined with a heat ointment with camphor.

Some questions:
I'm unable to put any strain on my lower arm and wrist. This eliminates any use of dumb bells, benchpress and pull ups.
I can probably compensate for the benchpress using machines instead but as for biceps I don't know how to exercise them without hurting my arm.

Got any ideas?

Yes it's a bugger isn't it. As you say rest.

Try Iprobrufen topical cream and arnica cream on the area.

Do a Google on trigger point therapy.

Ultrasound is used by athletes.

Really bad cases need surgery.

Don't do ANY ballistic type training.

Focus on grip work, initially WELL within your limits, say 20% of a deadlift max, maybe start sqeazing a tennis ball, then a cheapo gripper.

Build up with bodyweight chins or even just hanging from the bar for time.

Generally there's nothing stopping you from squatting, but most other stuff is an issue. Maybe overhead presses on a machine, but NOT barbell.

Ice after training.

Definately sounds like its from weights. Boxing will usually give it to you in the shoulder from my experience! This was one of the major reasons I stopped boxing a while back! I needed a huge amount of rest, or to take painkiller injections, and no way I was doing that!

Thanks Alpine. It's good advice you give there.

Clooney: There's no doubt that I wouldn't have got it if I had stayed away from dumb bells although the boxing may have been the straw that broke the camels back. Right handed jabs and spinning back-fists both put a tremendious strain on the wrist.

The pain is still there though its less in strength and and not as widespread as 3 days ago. I've had to adapt my left hand to use the mouse though.

Bandage around the wrist and the distal parts of the lower arm works fine in order to relieve the pain.

And I've started on a cycle of Bonyl, Naproxen - it's an anti-inflammatory agent, an NSAID drug. We'll see how it goes...

About training:
I'm 1.77 m weighing 74 kg. Before I got this inflamation I could easily benchpress 70 kg. So I was (still am) pretty bulky around my chest. Now I'm starting to notice that my muscle tone is waning for every day that passes by.

How can I retain my muscle-mass around the chest, arms and back without woring out? The answer is ofcourse that I can't

Then again, the loss of muscle mass doesn't worry me so much but what DO worry me is that it'll turn into fat by lack of exercise. Therefore, I run alot burning 800 calories a day. And I do stomach curls and some squatting.

Also, I'm not really sure on how to eat though.
Should I stick with high amounts of protein and small amount of carbs?

If you throw your punches correctly, and put on your wraps properly, you should not feel much strain on your wrists. At least that is from my experience. I only ever hurt my wrist when I snap the right hand over a bit too far, or when I throw a lazy left hook.

But your right, its sucks, and it will probably affect you for quiet some time now! An annoying niggling injury it is!
