tell parents i'm dating or not

well, I do have a job however I am trying to pay off a large sum of money ( approx the cost of a mustang) so I need to stay home for another 6-7 months til I get that paid off..


but staying home , my parents are like the secret police detectives, they keep track of me all the time, and find out the status of how in my life is ..

If I start dating, its going to be a juggling act trying to hide it from them and trying to manage dating ....so should I just tell them out forthright ? or wait 7 months til I can move out ?

You are 24 years old, you are not a 12 year old toddler. What is the problem? Are your parents overly religious or something? Would they kick you out of the house and tell you to live with your girlfriend? Would they damn to you hell? Would they lie to your girlfriend you have a venereal disease? What would be their gripe against you dating? Any way you slice it, tell them it’s your life.

Yeah seriously, my parents didnt care if I had a girlfriend or not since I was 15-16 and started going out with girls.

What can your parents possibly say or do that makes it not worth telling them you have a girlfriend?

If I were you I'd give my parents a lecture about privacy and having one's own life. Your parents gotta understand you're not 4, you're 24, and you can do just fine on your own and you don't need them to be looking over your shoulder every step of the way.

What's next ask them, that they will start coming with you to all your dates to make sure you behave properly?
