It was called Toronto the good.Bruh, what happened to Toronto? I swear when I was growing up, we in the US associated Toronto with being a beautiful and classy city.
But we do keep our doors open and no one does anything. The lock on my front door has been broken since 5-6 years ago and we cant afford to fix it (ie the house is a mess anyway and would be thieves would find nothing of value here. All the good stuff is hidden away and difficult to access). So, perhaps in that regard, we are treating it like it's safe.Jesse Pinkman said:We used to look at Canada as a place where you can leave your doors open and no one will do anything.
The van incident happened in 2018. Prior to 2018, Chad was not on my vocabulary. I first heard of the term from that killer's mouth. I was loath to use it. Fast forward to 2019 - now, it's a very common term.Jesse Pinkman said:Now the whole thing has gone haywire bro. This must be a recent phenomenon because I do not recall Toronto being like this in the early 2000s unless I am missing something @corrector.
To be fair, each person's experience in Toronto is different. @European-DJ was able to get laid on his first visit here with an Asian woman who gave him an all expense paid tour of the place. However, for the average guys, such as myself, the experience is different. My mother always thinks that if I was in the USA I'd been married like yesterday rather than just rotting away here. I won't be surprized of here having this type of reputation.Jesse Pinkman said:Now, it is like Toronto is an incel hotbed (incel forums are flooded with Toronto residents) full of awful and entitled women. Come to find, I have yet to meet a decent woman from Toronto that comes here to the US and a lot of them come to the US. Almost every guy from there is a try hard trying to pick a fight because they have a chip on their shoulder.
Is it difficult to legally own a gun?It was called Toronto the good.

In Toronto, escort / prostitutes are de-facto allowed (ie it's not enforced unless it's minor's or trafficking, but not on morality grounds). For people to say that a place having easy access to prostitutes will solve this problem, it hasn't really done much here. That would be an interesting topic.
But, I digress, the whole world was different before the smartphones and social media, and the early 00s, in general, are fondly remembered as better times compared to today. Toronto would likely be party of that rosey picture. What Western places hasn't gone down since the 00s?

Yes it is difficult but there are less suicides using a gun. Suicide risk goes up exponentially if you own a gun as it offers a quick and.convenient way to end it. Therefore it is dangerous to own a gun.Is it difficult to legally own a gun?
Statistically, yes, the person a gun owner is most likely to shoot is themselves. Suicidal people have no business being near a gun.Yes it is difficult but there are less suicides using a gun. Exactly. Given my own situation here at home and how close I am with my folks and where I find myself, I don't think its a good idea for me to own a gun. Not saying that I would do something like that, or am thinking about it, but lets just say that I'm more comfortable without one until I have more stability within my life. I do suffer from occasional fleeting throughts of passive suicidal ideation and wouldn't want to be near any gun for my own safety from myself. (ie if something happens to my folks I don't want to be a potential victim myself. I realize there may come a time I have to face life without them (ie esp carrying a mortgage when I'm not sure about my income month to month, etc... and "gun" sounds like a hazard in such a situation). That being said, I'd assess my risk of eventual suicide at 10-25% if I owned a gun, and 0% without one, therefore it's safer for me not to own one. The risk of suicide outweights any other benefit there may be from having one.Statistically, yes, the person a gun owner is most likely to shoot is themselves. Statistics are difficult to compile about things that don't happen, in regard to crimes that guns might prevent. My state recently passed concealed carry, and it seems like every little old lady is packing heat. Practically everyone has a gun. But people know that, so they are afraid to start sh1t with anybody.

Beautiful and classy? I don't know what you were smoking when you were growing up (or perhaps your frame of reference was some awful sh!thole like Detroit or Baltimore) but Toronto was never considered beautiful or classy by anyone I know. It was always known as safe but boring and generic.Bruh, what happened to Toronto? I swear when I was growing up, we in the US associated Toronto with being a beautiful and classy city.
