He just announced his bid for the White House.

The delicious irony of vocal birther Ted Cruz now running from President despite actually being born in Canada. ‪

Ted Cruz was born in Canada, but his mom is American so its okay! Obama was born in America and his mom was American, but he's Kenyan? Make perfect sense....

Obama was not born in The United States.

Plus at least he is not a socialist. But obama is. Dirty commie who should be locked up for treason.

Highly doubt he gets anywhere. His rise is tied directly to people's frustrations with the liberals' failures to deliver. But sh*t, if the choices are he or Hilary, he'll win in a landslide.

Highly doubtful.

Cruz has no buzz amongst independents, nor any real ability to get any small number of Dems to vote for a guy like him. Heck there are quite a number of people in his own party that dont like him, despite the fact that he only panders to the GOP base.

Rand Paul is a lot more realistic at beating Hilary than Cruz.

Rush Limbaugh seems fired up about it. I don't know why, I thought most Republicans considered him a joke. I agree that Rand Paul would be a better candidate. I want Donald Trump personally, f*ck what all the 'intellectuals' think of it. That's why he'd make a great President. Leader who has balls.

Yeah just a little.

Sen. Ted Cruz was booed offstage at a conference for Middle Eastern Christians Wednesday night after saying that “Christians have no greater ally than Israel.”

Cruz, the keynote speaker at the sold-out D.C. dinner gala for the recently-founded non-profit In Defense of Christians, began by saying that “tonight, we are all united in defense of Christians. Tonight, we are all united in defense of Jews. Tonight, we are all united in defense of people of good faith, who are standing together against those who would persecute and murder those who dare disagree with their religious teachings.”

...

The cries of “stop it, stop it, enough,” and booing continued. “Out, out, leave the stage!” At this point IDC’s president, Toufic Baaklini, came out to the stage to ask for the crowd to listen to Cruz, but Cruz had already had enough.

“If you will not stand with Israel and the Jews,” he said. “Then I will not stand with you. Good night, and God bless.” And with that, he walked off the stage.

I know nothing of Cruz. All I know is I saw a headline on Drudge that said he was going to repeal obamacare and eliminate the IRS.

Bottom line is whoever is elected, from whichever party, is going to be working for the Deep State. Elections are all smoke and mirrors.

I don't know much about Cruz either, first thought is that he's a politician, and therefore is probably slimy and only out for his own benefit, like 99% of them.

However, about what he said (I only read what was quoted here, not dealing with the ads on the site), I'm not against it, at all----> the enemy of my enemy is my friend.

Although I'm as Idealistic as the next Idealistic guy, there are times when compromises do need to be made. If every religion was at constant war with each other, then the world would be.....constantly at war.

We can respect each other, agree to be friends, and still maintain different beliefs.

More right wing hypocrisy that you just have to laugh at. All these right wingers like "The Donald" were forcing President Obama to produce a birth certificate. Now these same right wingers are welcoming this Canadian born neo con with open arms who shouldn't be allowed to run.

Treason? LOL. I guess it wasn't treason for Bush and Cheney to lie about a war and invade another country under false conditions.

He cetainly is, and panders to the extreme far right wing of the party. If any Republican manages to win, he is going to surround himself with the same neo cons nuts that ran Bush's disaster of a foreign policy. Infact, those same nuts are going to be advisors for the GOP Nominee through the debates and for the campaign. Same guys will be running the show anyway, so it's not going to be any different.

I'd really love to see someone like Gary Johnson be a serious contender.

However, he's staunchly libertarian and third parties can never really seem to get a foothold vs the republican/democratic establishment.

Sick of leftards that have the memory of a gnat.

"In the four years since the inspectors left, intelligence reports show that Saddam Hussein has worked to rebuild his chemical and biological weapons stock, his missile delivery capability, and his nuclear program. He has also given aid, comfort, and sanctuary to terrorists, including al Qaeda members. It is clear, however, that if left unchecked, Saddam Hussein will continue to increase his capacity to wage biological and chemical warfare, and will keep trying to develop nuclear weapons."

I hadn't even really looked into Ted Cruz, but now I know why liberals like Jaylan dislike Ted Cruze. Cruze is tough on immigration. Any candidate who's not tough on immigration is against traditional Americans.

I'm not crazy about the non-citizen Cuban father and his parents were living in Canada working in the oil industry at the time of his birth. But his mom was an American citizen probably making Cruz considered natural born citizen and Canada was the closest foreign country to America as it gets. That beats a muslim Communist Kenyan dad that split out and a kooky misceganting, communist and muslim loving mom.

Obama has a very secretive and questionable origin and past.

From what I can gather of Cruz he is more paleo-con than neo-con.

So what? Her stance on the Iraq War is nothing new and certainly not forgotten, which is why she lost to Obama in the primaries.

Also, Clinton did not invade Iraq. That was Bush and Cheney's doing who gave false evidence to Congress so they could sell the war. She only voted to authorize Bush to have the power if there was a real case to actually go. Clinton was going on what the Bush Administration gave them to work with, which was faulty and poor intelligence. She even admitted the war was the wrong decision based on Bush's bad intelligence. The right wingers still push their lie that "it was the right thing to do." Even Colin Powell and Bush's ex Generals said there was no reason to invade Iraq with faulty intelligence. So, they are saying the same thing as Clinton did.

Seriously?

Congress had every reason to suspect the White House and they did.

So they reviewed intelligence reports from 8 international intelligence services to test Bush and their own doubts.

So pretend that the White House could lie to Congress and fabricate reports from international intelligence agencies. If that's what you need to lie to yourself, have at it.

Ridiculous.

The War Resolutions (both of them) are part of the Congressional Record. Liberals would like their own history, unburdened by fact.

When you listen to the right wing spin, you are unaware and ignorant to what the real news and facts actually are. Colin Powell has stated that the intelligence was flawed and misleading. The senate intelligence reports backs that up as well, even though the Republicans and Cheney denied Senate Investigators access to many of the reports and information they hid from coming out.

The speech also has become a point of reference in the failure of U.S. intelligence. Although Powell has said he struggled to ensure that all of his arguments were sound and backed by intelligence from several sources, it nonetheless became a key example of how the administration advanced false claims to justify war.

Powell has expressed disappointment that, after working to remove dubious claims, the intelligence backing the remaining points of his U.N. speech has turned out to be flawed.

It turned out that the sourcing was inaccurate and wrong, and in some cases deliberately misleading, and for that I am disappointed and I regret it," Powell said in May.

The analysts, describing many of the claims as "weak" and assigning grades to arguments on a 5-star scale, warned Powell against making an array of allegations they deemed implausible.

The documents underscore the extent to which administration and intelligence officials were culling a vast collection of thinly sourced claims as they sought to assemble the case for war. But the origin and full scope of some errors remain unclear because Senate investigators were denied access to a number of relevant documents, according to aides involved in the probe.

If Hilary Clinton is the nominee I will have a hard time voting for her. While I think just about any Democrat is better than just about any Republican in today's political climate voting for someone who was in favor of invading Iraq doesn't sit right with me. It was the biggest blunder in recent American history, cost us thousands of lives (including friends of mine) and cost them hundreds of thousands of lives.

When all you can find to support your bullsh*t lefty fantasies are old LA Times articles, you really ought to give up.

Democrats overwhelmingly supported the war resolutions - both of them.

Saying 'oops' years later and crafting elaborate stories about how you were misled just proves that Democrats are not fit to lead.

A grade schooler might believe that decisions and action taken with imperfect information are the same thing as looking backwards at what you later judge to be a mistake. Only an assh*le would make a public position on it.

But we know that Embers. After all you are a liberal democrat. You knee-jerk anything and everything to shuck, jive and dissemble, whine whinge and wheedle.

You do and say anything except take responsibility for your actions. For you others are always responsible.

For democrats, liberals and progressives, accountability does not exist because you are nothing more than spoiled children.

Hilliary is just flat crooked and corrupt as they come.

The biggest recent "blunder" was the 1965 Immigration (Hart-Cellar) Act and the Civil Rights Act. That set the course for the United States to be destroyed by multicolonization, crime and poverty. The Iraq war-bipartisan and UN supported- was a very minor blunder in comparison.

There would've never even been a 9/11 and the Iraq war and Afghanistan war in the first place if not for the '65 onward immigration policy.

Meet one of the biggest scoundrels in recent history Emanuel_Celler. Democrat? check. Ashkenazi? check check.

As Chairman of the House Judiciary Committee from 1949 to 1973 , Celler was involved in drafting and passing the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the Civil Rights Act of 1968 and the Voting Rights Act of 1965. In January 1965, Celler proposed in the House of Representatives the Twenty-fifth Amendment, which clarifies an ambiguous provision of the Constitution regarding succession to the presidency. Also in 1965, he proposed and steered to passage the Hart-Celler Act, which eliminated national origins as a consideration for immigration. This was the culminating moment in Celler's 41-year fight to overcome restriction on immigration to the United States based on national origin. The US Gun Control Act of 1968 directly evolved from Celler's Bill H.R. 17735

Typical repsonse of a right winger when he is hit over the head with the truth and the facts. The first step is to deny, and then claim "it's Liberal" trying to downplay the information providing nothing useful in return.

This article was published over a decade ago, and those are the facts if you want to believe them or not. There's plenty of more information on the web for you to deny.

Bush's own Secretary of State at the time, Colin Powell, made a statement to the press apologizing "It turned out that the sourcing was inaccurate and wrong, and in some cases deliberately misleading, and for that I am disappointed and I regret it," Powell said in May.

That is Bush's own Secretary of State apologizing to the country for the flawed and misleading intelligence during the time it happened. He came out and apologized for what happened. That is not "Liberal", that is news, an event that actually happened, was spoken, took place, and was reported. That's why I posted this link. You are trying to deny history and what took place to fit your right wing fantasy. You can't admit you were lied to and bought into it all these years. Are you going to claim Powell is a Liberal when he made those statements to the press?

Why do you want to believe in a lie and be lied to all the time by the right wingers?

Then you can't claim Obama is a "Liberal" then can you, when he is pushing the neo con view of the world. But the right wing propaganda tries to give you a different spin telling you different.

There really isn't much of a discussion to this thread. I'm trying to raise the IQ for the mentally challenged members who posted their crap. VikingKing started with his Obama nonsense and TicTac tried to post a quote of Clinton. In return, I proved them both wrong raising the iQ level of the thread.
