Technique. You need that if you want to get anywhere in life. But in this case you need to seem to have a lack of.

Here is how it goes. You need to get good at something. Not great. Just good enough that you don't embarrass yourself by doing it. My favorite is danceing. Then all you need to do is use it as an ice breaker, and your in with some instant attention if all goes well. Ask her to say teach you to dance. Then follow what she is doing and do it poorly then after awhile bust out all your moves and show her that not only she is a good teacher, but she has got a fast learner on her hands.

Then to show her how great full tell her you are taking down her number and your going to take her out to dinner and that your not taking no for an answser. It should work.

I that sort of thing works sometimes especially if she's teaching you to dance "works for me anyway I suck at dancing"

I wouldn't use it, I prefer simple openers, or simple questions as openers. But some people may find it of great use.

Well it doesn't need to be an opener. It could just help build you up into a fun guy who's comfortable with flaws.
