If you have seen American Psycho, you hear in the beginning what he is using for taking care of his body:

-deep pore cleanser
-water activated gel cleanser
-honey almond bodyscrub
-exfoliating gel scrub for the face
-herb mint facial masque
-aftershave lotion with no alcohol
-moisturizer
-anti-aging eye-balm
-final moisturizing procecting lotion

Is anyone actually doing all this much? or even near this much of treatment?

Finally 3 questions:
Now what of this stuff is nessecary?

Which are some good brands of the stuff?

Is it nessecary to buy all the expensive stuff or is there any cheaper opinions?

Don't know about you, but my skin isn't in bad condition to start with... Seems like too much effort, we're only young!

But i do know that most of the "exclusive" ranges are produced by labs, that produce the exact same product just with a different name... A WHOLE lot cheaper.

Go with what works for you, dont buy stuff just because of price!

Cough... I do moisturise sometimes though... Cough

Johnsons Baby Lotion all the way!

Perhaps a model who gets paid to have a clear face. This guy was a little over the top though. He was sort of a skewed portrayal of antisocial personality and the movie made him out to be a little obsessive compulsive. The guy was such a monster on the inside and yet he became focused on maintaining this handsome and charismatic facade in an effort to either hide or compensate for his disgusting behavior. Take the business card for example. His just couldn't be second best. His woman couldn't be second best. His face and wardrobe had to be the best also.

I like the nieva men's stuff.

The face scrub, the aftershave balm.

Purpose Face Soap, and whatever exfoliating body scrub I can find, I use that every other day.

MachIII razors (not the turbo one), and edge progel.

Got2b Glued spiking gel. Its the only stuff I've used that doesn't wear off in an hour.

Regular Degree Men's anti persperant, curve cologne.

Sometimes I use famous daves exfoliatant, and sometimes I use the famous daves self tanner when I have been in the office too long, and not out in the sun. (The sun rarely shines in new york)

er.. you do know that American Psycho is a satire on the soul-less & vacuous embodiment of greedy money obsessed businessmen.

Where apperance & material possessions are the main focus & most important thing in their lives as they are so devoid of any humanity or substance.

It really worries me that alot of people on this site are actually aspiring to become someone like him. I'm not saying it's you, but I've seen posts from people who have similar values as good ol' Mr. Bateman.

You really don't need to worry too much though, unless there is some kind of specific skin irritation, then soap & water is enough. You're a MAN remember.

I've read that you shouldn't put anything on your skin that would make you sick if you ate it. Your skin absorbs any toxins you put on it and most skin products are poisonous to some level. These can actually damage your skin over time, and chemicals are never good for you.

There are very cool but very expensive mens products from Aveda and all kinds of products at natural food stores in the skin care section. I am into the organic movement and suggest it to others as you will naturally maintain your ideal weight without dieting and your skin looks better. It costs big $$$ though. Women love to touch and kiss you more due to the edible aspect of the products. Plus you look and smell good, but not like everybody else.

If you want a cheap and effective exfoliant, try baking soda with water., (just don't scrub too hard and be sure to wash it off well).
Some people say you should 'balance your skin's pH', so, taking that into account, if you use baking soda, you should splash on a bit of apple cider vinegar solution, (8:1 ratio of water:vinegar) and wash it off 5 minutes later.
Instead of using those chemical moisturisers, try natural oils such as olive oil or walnut oil.

I do this every day and it makes my skin very, very soft and supple.
