I'm in a tiny town with no real access to a gym and who's weather is very uncooperative for about 3/4ths of the year. I do want to get in shape though.

I want to start doing Tai Chi again. I took a semester of it in college with my g/f and loved it. I've got hyperthyroidism which will make my heart race too fast if I'm running or lifting. With that Tai Chi class, I felt pleasent and good, as most people describe how they feel after work outs.

I'm thinking about getting an instructional video so I can get back into the routine of it, but I'm at a loss on where to start.

Anyone have any ideas or know of a good instructor who makes quality videos?

Only 8% to 10% of Americans practice Tai Chi, and other Asian practices.

Bear that in mind while you wait for days, and days for a response.
Your just fortunate enough that I happen to come along, in a decent mood.

TIP: www.google.com is your friend. Ask him for advice, he will know what to do.

I suggest going to your local library and check out a few. You'd be surprised at what you can find there on VHS and DVD. It's free, you can check out a few at a time and compare them too. What I usually do is read some of the customer reviews on Amazon.com and pick a couple of recommendations from there before checking them out.

I know this sounds crazy and perhaps unappealing, but try going to a nursing home. Introduce Tai Chi to the elderly and before you know it, the administration might be doing your work for you in terms of getting classes up, organizing morning sessions, etc.

A lot of elderly Asian women and men around my area get up around 6:00 AM when I go outside to play tennis and they do tai chi with swords and stuff. It's even relaxing just to watch them move in unison so smoothly. Ask around about this. It also has some health benefits so I'm sure a lot of people other than you are interested.
