Sydney club scene ... need a heads up

Okay fellow DJ's so here is the plan ... I am driving up to sydney for a wild weekend so I need to do my homework Like I read in the bible, you shouldn't expect to bag hotties without doing some research first. Same goes for an unfamiliar 'scene'.

So any aussie DJ's out there, what are some good clubs in sydney atm? I am into house/progressive, breaks and even higher energy stuff if its good. Also I'm lookin for a fairly young scene (ie girls younger than 26).

Our current plan is go to 'Gas' on Pitt St and maybe Chinese Laundry in darling harbour. Any advice? Then I am going to a house party on sat night, should be a good chance to meet some ladies.

find those newspapers that are free in the pubs.. eg. Drum Media and check out the club guide for music.

by the sounds of what u said.. you will like Gas, Home, Chinese Laundry, Icebox, Yu, Globe, Sugar Reef and about another 10 places.

DON'T waste time with Establishment.. i was there last sat night, and it was crowded and fukced.. there was also a small brawl there. Girls were mostly in groups, and were just too busy walking around and around the circumference of the bar, and getting comments from stationary guys. the RnB music was cr@p.
Fri night there is try-hard-suit-wearing-high-flyer night for males and goldigger-wanna-be night for females.

Bars around George st. have to be entered early.. after 11pm forget it, there will be a queue down george st.

Darling harbour might be OK.. or King St. Wharf. but you seem more interested in music.

Im not from syd but drive up there every now and then for some clubbing. Home is pretty good, better on Saturday nights though (so im told)... i went there on a Friday and i felt like i was the only aussie in the place.

Gas is good, nice place, decent crowd, but chicks seem to be a little stuck up - so bring some neg hits with ya

Shark hotel is a good starting place (near darling harbor) nice cheap spirits / alcohol before 12.
