im suspicious about my love interest since the beginning, she seems like the kind of girl who has 'meetings' with different guys which she doesnt consider dates.. i understand that at the beginning a girl will see different guys to see who she likes best.

i saw a text from her just now this evening just before 10pm, she texts me 'hey, what are you up to?'

now im confused cos we had a great date sunday but no kiss close yet, i saw her earlier today at lunch and she was with her friend and sat with her a bit. but no arrangements for next date.

anyway, i text her back 5mins later 'i just go out the shower, why, whats up? '

i waited 30mins and no reply (usually she replies straight away) so i called her (ok bad move i guess cos she didnt pick up)

im paranoid that the text wasnt for me and for someone else (maybe a f-buddy), her roommate usually goes to sleep before 10pm so i imagine she was looking to do something. why would a girl send u this text so late at night and not reply?

is she just trying to see if you're busy or waiting by the phone?

Nah, she may have just fallen asleep.

If she is interested she will reply tomorrow.

maybe, but i know her roommate goes to bed before 10pm and she cant watch tv or do anything in there so ends up usually going to her friends place after 9.30pm or doing something else.. my suspicions are she wanted to meet up but cos i didnt get back to her immediately she rang someone else to meet, it doesnt explain why she didnt answer my call though.

i seem kinda afc now after replying, then calling 25mins later. should i back off a bit maybe?

i knew it was a risk calling after not receiving a response to the text however i sometimes dont get texts.. shes a supicious girl and im a bit paranoid assuming that the text wasn't for me, she has an iphone so i dont know how easy it is to make a mistake sending a text to the wrong person.

Dude, you need some hard evidence to hold that level of mistrust.

Your "gut" is NOt a reliable source of info. At best it signals that there MAY be a fire in the building, but you need to use your eyes and ears to locate the direction and the extent of the blaze.
Then again, fire alarms are frequently false alarms too.

i did a stupid thing, i sent her a reply saying 'u asked me what i was up to like u wanted to meet up.. (or u wanted attention )' i didn't realise it sounded so confrontational until i read it after and she replied with 'no, no reaon. sorry wont do it again good night'

so now i dont know if shes mad at me.

is the best way to deal with it is to just pretend like it never happened and just see how she is next time i see her and if she is iffy with me just try to make her laugh?

im a dumba$$ her texting me was a sign of high interest, but im such an insecure afc still i didn't believe she sent it to me on purpose. and now cos of my afcness i reacted stupidly.

if it were me i would just ignore her for 24 hrs starting after the next time she texts me
