Not sure if they know how these societies work. We knew an Islamic girl who ran away from the north and fell in love with an Indian Hindu guy. She used to say there is a network of families and they all keep an eye out, so wherever you go, they know where you are.
They left one day and nobody knew where and never saw them again.
People sometimes on here have said “they know how to keep women in check” to which I totally disagree. That’s no life to have, with women scared into submission. There are plenty of models around the world where it falls somewhere between “sleeping with every 3rd man you meet and monthly abortions” and “controlling women with the threat of limb removal and decapitation”
I’m sorry for my US friends, I saw Biden’s speech yesterday and it was ridiculous. He was not the guy who ordered the troops out, but he took full credit for it. He never once addressed how it was done.

Have to say respect for the British ambassador. He is staying to the end long after the French one was posting pictures on Twitter that he was safe and well on the airlift. I guess there are lots of our US brothers who are similarly showing backbone.
As a Brit I may knock the US, I find some things about the states irritating (mainly how you spell things) but when it comes down to it, when you get humiliated as a Brit it feels like we are too.
