Hey all,

Just wondering what everyone here does for their summer job. I don't really need another summer job cuz I have a part time job that pays quite well...but I'd like to get another job to increase my income. Has anyone here served at a bar/restaurant...how's the money if you're a guy? I know women make good tips if they're attractive, etc.

My other options are to go back to the hospital but I figure I'm gonna be spending my whole life there so might as well have some fun beforehand.

What did/are you gonna be doing for your summer job, and was it good/bad/ugly?

You sound like a huge loser. Seriously, you are already planning to have a s***** future. Don't dedicate your life to something that is not going to be your love and passion. Obviously working at a hospital isn't what you want to do. If it was, you would be there right now, or you would be telling us about how amazing your life at the hospital is.

Envy me! I am designing a porno site. Later on I will be taking pictures of nude girls..

BUT, Ive been working warranty repair field, think sort of like dell tech only on higher level. It sucks because you are treated like garbage. Then I worked other jobs, all jobs suck, one way or the other. Mr Lif live from plantation comes to mind here. Ideal is to work less and make more money, so Im opening my own business, several actually.. Easiest thing is to use the skill you have to deliver services directly.

Here is 30 day free trial to play with currency market, thats the next thing Im going to try: http://www.forex.com/forex_demo_account.html?src=BidclixPremMenDrivePMUSD

Keep in mind to work less and get paid more. I had a guy working with me, working the field, and I mean in more than one way. Doing service calls in the field, and banging hoes.. Eventually it cought up to him, got fired, because he didnt know sh1t. So, find something that is easy and puts you in contact with a lot of women, or at least is easy and layed back so that you can have fun.

This thread goes to show just how screwed the people that post on here are. We have a guy who admits to the fact that he is going to hate his job, a guy who posts porn picture (soon to be deleted), and a guy who is going to get rich quick by creating the 123,234,432,342 porno site on the Net.

Ohhhhh, you get to take nudie pics of prostitutes. Wow, quite a deal going for you. Sorry to tell you this, but you won't make money on the porn site. Not unless you are going to box the prostitutes up and sell them to people.

All jobs suck? Mine doesn't. I actually live it, eat it, and sleep it. I am excellent at it because of those things. If you wanna make money it is simple. Find something that you love and dedicate your life to it. I don't care what it is. Just do it. Eventually, the passion you have for it will be obvious to those who are interested in what you do. The money will then follow. Problem with most of you is that you are boring followers. That is why you seek validation on the Net. Be who you are - Do what you love. Simple as that.

Ok, not a porno site. Hot body type of site, to compete with playboy and maxim. Uhhh, far reaching concept isnt it? Its not mine either, Im a designer, and later will photograph nudes because Im good at it.

What is Donald Trump pashionate about? Because that guy is successful and if you want to learn something, he is a great role model. He does a lot of things, not one thing, many things. What is he passionate about?

Smart a55, Im about to add you to my list if you continue to disrespect people and bring across your sick agenda.

I did landscaping for a summer job. I plan to do it again this summer. It's hard work but it pays pretty well and you get to work outside and I personally find physical labor much more enjoyable than just checking people out or whatever (I worked retail for a while, HATED it, will never do it again).

Please don't tell me that you are going to use Donald Trump as your role model? The guy is an entertainer. Look at his business track record. It sucks. He does know how to market to middle-America though.

My point is simple. Few people make it big when they are driven by money only. I know that it sounds good for TV, but in the real world most people who have made it big would be doing what they do even if it was a hobby that cost them money. That is why winners don't retire. They do what they do because it is who they are. It is a drug to them.

Anyways ,the best summer jobs I've had soo far were;
car detailer (cleaned cars, drove around alot of the day)
Grill cook at burger joint with a young crew
Sign maker for a bookstore
cheap labor/construction/carpentry
seafood processor
Nothing to stay and make a living out of but I was outside alot of the time and for most of jobs, had fun, people my age to work with and lots of sun and free time in between.I am thinking of doing landscaping or some city gardening, you know those people that plant trees and flower beds across the city, looks like fun and I get to be outdoors most of all~
I like choosing work that makes the time pass by quickly and is fun in someway or the other, most of my jobs have been soo far.

Oh you can be a winner, alright. Question is can you be a winner and rich? Donald Trump is successful because he tries many different things, he fails at some, but then wins at others.

If you, however, like doing (lets say for example) office administration. No matter how passionate you are, you will not get rich doing that.

In my reality, I am passionate about my personal life and my hobbies (cars, model planes). Work is there to distract me, it is the source of income to drive my hobbies of which Im passionate about. Most people are like that.

By the same token, if you are passionate about your work, then you are a work-o-holic.

I'm not saying I hate my work at the hospital, but its summer, and I'd rather have jobs that are more fun and compadible with my other job. I'm a stripper part-time, and the hours from that job suck, not to mention the travelling when we go on tour. However, its a super fun job, pays well, forces you to be in shape year round, gives you ample confidence, etc.

Im' thinking about serving/bartending because it fits my personality pretty well (I'm really outgoing and farely social), and would have similar hours to dancing, so I could do that on off nights. Plus its summer, so no school = more time to relax and have fun...I'd like to do some volunteer work during the day as well.

Office Administration can make you rich. Look at all the very wealthy men who have started temp. agencies. You can use your love for office administration while making a little to a whole lot of money. Finding good office help is hard to do these days. With a love for office administration you would probably love matching employee with employer.

You are passionate about cars and model planes. Uh, plenty of business opportunities related to those two areas. You won't get rich quick, but you will love what you do and one day you just might find yourself making more money than you ever thought possible.

Problem is that too many people were raised to think of work as something you have to hate. If you don't hate getting up and going to work you must be doing something wrong. That is the attitude of the average man. Much of the problem is that most view work as a way to make money. Trust me...avoid personal debt, don't get married too young, and do what YOU love. The money will follow if you are half-way intelligent and willing to dedicate your life to something. Even if it doesn't, you will have a whole hell lot more fun than most.

Whatever you do, don't listen to others. Most people (as is evidence by 98% of the posters on here) live their lives trying to look "cool" to their friends. F***'em! Drop all of your current friends and start from scratch. NEVER talk to them again. NEVER. Start a new life and find people who understand what you are trying to do. It is amazing how "friends" can keep you from being who you were meant to be.
