so i am doing pullups a lot now. I am trying to build up my bicepts tricepts and chest. Well once i got to a stage where i could do no more i Tried to do press ups and was astonished when i manged to do a lot even thou obviously could no longer do pull ups. Obviously it is using a complety diffrent muscle.

So could someone please explain to me some work outs i can do with out any weights (as i do not have any other then 2, 4.5kg dumbells which are to light) ot build up my bicepts, tricepts and chest.

thanx

Pull-ups: lats and bis
Push ups: chest and tris

Just join a gym, it will be so much simpler to put on mass. The clichés "I don't have time/money/car to drive there/x" doesn't cling well.

I dont really have much excuss for not going the gym, sure its inconvinneint but i could find a way to go at least twice a week.

But this is enough to make people including me find excuses not to go, after all i dont need the excersize my sport is cycling and i do a lot of that. What ever reason i give for not going would just be an excuss but still i dont want to go, so i will do it at home, once i got some more money i will buy a proper pull up bar instead of doing it off my bunkbed and may even invest in some weights that are actuly heavy, its not the most ideal situation but then again since when is anyone always in the ideal situation?

why not just invest in a bench, barbell set and heavier dumbells?

u could try doing dips using two chairs, they work the chest (lean forward) and tris (keep your body upright) really well.

seriously tho, just say to yourself that the next few hundred quid you get youre gonna spend it on some quality gym equipment - i did this and its great!

have a powertec power rack system, bench, barbell weight set (getting a 140kg set soon), dumbells, ez curl bar etc...

believe me, its worth it man.

My main advice would be to get to a gym. Then you can increase your reps and sets in a controlled manner.

buy weight at ur local sports store or argos. over here you can get a 50kg set in argos for about 70/80euro - prob not the best quality but itll do for a start.

shop around at garage sales... people sell weight stuff they've been disillusioned with all the time.

Make a belt, get a belt that's waaay too big for you... get a dumbbell... put the belt around the dumbell and your waist. If you do it right, the belt will hold onto your hips and the dumbell will not slide off (hell you can tie it and such), then do pullups.

If you want to get big, get in to the gym. If you want to get ripped, get in to the gym. If you want to stay the same - keep doing what your doing.

It all comes down to: How bad do you want it? If you dont want it enough, then just drop it and focus on other things in life. Your wasting your time.

sammo i want to be lean and have a decent amount ot muscle, kind of like brad pitt type of body, now you are correct in what you saw, i will not achive this from doing it at home, but i do a lot of cycling, im training to be compete in it. So i am already quite lean and can easily improve on it, and as for muscles i do not want huge 18 inch muscles mine are 12 inch im practicly happy with that maybe just a little bit bigger, im concentrating more on chest and abs and getting more lean, so you are right do need to get to the gym to get huge muscles butt hats not i want, and no i cant get lean sitting at home but thats not what im doing.
