Judging from a few recent posts by some of the more knowledgable DJs out there. I have come to the conclusion that we as a collective group of minds are taking ourselves WAY too seriously.


What you do, no matter who you are, really doesnt mean a god damn thing. Know why? Cause youre all gonna die. Every person will die. This planet will one day die. This solar system, this galaxy, this universe. And when you die, everything youve done goes right with you. So instead of moping around like some dooshbag cause a girl did you wrong, dust your ass off and realize she doesnt mean sh1t, what she did does not mean sh1t, and you also dont mean sh1t. So take it from me, a dude who has had more "mystical thought journeys" than he would like to admit(thats aimed at you matrix), just laugh and have fun because atleast you like doing that even if in the end it wont really matter anyway

You will physically die, but, if you do something big enough, you will be remembered. Your reputation will prevail after you have reached the grave. can you not grasp that this world and our species and all that we have done will one day come to an end? It will, this isnt star trek bro, our sun is gonna eat this planet when it starts to lose power. And even if we can finmd a way around that, when the sun totally dies there will be no energy left i nthe solar system.

Even if we can leave the solar system, our our galaxy is eventually going to collide with the andromeda galaxy. Ever seen a big fireworks show? Ever been in the middle of the sky where the fireworks were exploding? You wont last too long.

Oh yeah, and the universe is speeding up and the galaxies are getting further and further away from each other. So even at the speed of light, travelling to them would be an impossibility.

There always exist times where you and I horribly disagree Jester... this is one of those times. Taking life "seriously" as you put it, has little to do with it. Your escapist "you are going to die anyway" approach is charming, but let us consider something... unless you are religious and believe in the afterlife... what happens after you die? What do you do then Jester? Instead of simply waiting for the day that I die, I refuse to rely on the afterlife (not to say that I do not believe in it) for my happiness. Is everything that I do going to become immediately unimportant when I die... of course, does that mean I should not do it... debateable. Because if that was the case Jester, why do anything at all? Why surf (I know you do), why write, why laugh, why breathe... it will all be useless after we die anyway... hell... why not save ourselves the trouble and end it now for Christ's sakes... get the inevitable over with.

Sorry, I have not learned to be impervious to pain Jester... I will really work on it. The "moving on" process occurred long before you suggested it... actually... rather than mope around and feel sorry for myself, I am actively (as in right now) doing everything to better myself... using my pain and emotion as fuel to the fire. Rather than dismiss those feelings, I use them for betterment and a nice reminder, so that I may avoid this place in the future. As for my "thought journeys" well... you think mystical, I think very purposeful... but I will not even go there.

Where did I say I was talking about "all eternity" ? I was stating that, while we are here (we as in humans), if you accomplish something important enough, it will transmit through generations. Look at all the people that lived in the 15-hundreds, and that still to this day are very respected and adored...

Yeah, like you said, everything has a beginning and an end. That doesn't mean the end is tomorrow. Last I heard, scientists still gave us a few million years before the sun goes black. So, while we are still here, why not do soemthing worthwhile, that will profit the whole of humanity ?

I don't really consider myself a part of this argument... I'm on good grounds with Jester, and was originally influenced by his posts (years back). He certainly has a point, but it's a Jester point. Jester points contradict Matrix points, which contradict Jester points. BBB points just go in and **** everyone else up anyway.

Then, there is of course Smooth (Oh ****, he mentioned himself in the third person. Someone call Metallica, they've found a new band-member.), who's best advice revolves somewhere around the planet "Stick it in Her" -- which is right next to Uranus (Damn, that was cheesy).

As I already said in my post in the other thread, I am honestly interested in their lives and problems. I just wish they would stop trying to transform their every thought into a life-or-death drama.

Well pardon my french but what the fvck are doing crying about how everybody is going to disappear eventually. Are you trying to draw sympathy or is your look on life really that messed up. I can see where your coming from, but bottom line is yea we will all die eventually its enivitable the only thing to do is life your life to the fullest. You can die from a severe toe jam next thursday, but atleast have the enjoyment of knowing you had fun the previous days.

im trying to say have fun make something of your self, I didnt see your last posting, but before your saying life is a pile of shlt along with everybody else that will never be of any signifigance. so just give up tryn to be something. I always thought that becoming/being someone important was fun, being a worthless piece of shlt isnt much fun in my opinion. And you say anything people do wont matter after your dead..... thats bull**** cause people still recognize you for who you were or what you did; and what about your kids. Alot of what you did people will expect similar from them.
