unless you go veggie, but wtf who does that.
i thought i was doing myself a favor eating subway but i noticed that 6grams of fat or less bs was for 6 inches. and i dont know about you but 6 inches isnt very filling. and these subs have nearly 400 cals for 6 inches. if you go for a tastier treat, those hit around 500. so a footlong would be near 700-1000. and i didnt add condiments or cheese yet
bleh watching calories is very difficult

Well a 6 inch sub fills me up alright. And 400 calories for a meal isn't very much at all.

Counting calories is a waste of time because all calories are not the same. Are you trying to lose weight? If you want to drop pounds, eat beans and brown rice and vegetables, with a few walnuts and some peanut butter for your fat. Brown, whole grains have more fiber, which makes you feel full longer, which make you lose weight from eating less.

Well once I ate 2 footlong veggie Subway subs, and I probably could have downed another 6 incher. They aren't too filling imo.

Subway = diarrhea

Subway is great if you want to be on the "sh!t through a screen door" diet.

Try going home and making a salad. $5.00 for 10 good meals or $5.00 for one make you sick meal. Duh.

Can you elaborate on your salads, Vulpine?
I would like to start getting into salads as a meal.

I've been on the Atkin's diet for years. All my salads are is lettuce, cheese, dressing, bacon bits... maybe some black olives. That's just my taste.

Lettuce costs like what, a $1.29 for a head of romaine? You can get three big salads out of a head of romaine. You can put whatever you want in your salads, whatever lettuce, maybe some spinach, turnip, or mustard greens, you can throw meat on top if you want. I don't know what to tell you - I don't put carrots, onions, radishes, tomatoes, or stuff like that in my salads because of the carbs. But do whatever you want.

Start with a pile of lettuce, throw a bunch of crap on top of it, and call it a "salad". Hell, get a sub, chop it up, and throw it on a bed of lettuce and call it a "subway salad" for all I care.

Re:

I do the same, only I haven't figured out to preserve salad for a whole week before its get mushy. I usually slice up...

Peppers
Onions
Mushrooms
(tried Garlic, fawking yuck)
Cucumbers
Tomatoes
Feta Cheese
Almonds
Chick Peas

I don't normally use salad dressings. They distract from the true taste of the salad, IMO. I try a variety of colors, and I'll experiment with anything. Salads will vary. You could eat get the cold cuts, though they have a high % of salts and fat, and throw them on their too and save the money. One Subway sub at 6 inches is over $5, and lasts one meal. For $10, you could have a meal for a week, each day. And perhaps throw low fat, low carb dressing on there, which is ultimately the killer. It'd be better to put natural bacon bits and cold cuts than salad dressing. The salad at mcdonald's has such high calorie content because of the dressing, not to mention it may contain preservative you are allergic, as is the case with me and Glycol Propylene, found in EVERYTHING.

If anything, i put oil and vingear on for taste, that's it. But you can do as you like. Even whole wheat in small doses on salad would be ok. Provided it doesn't DOMINATE the salad.

Even before "Jerry" or whoever that spokes guy is for Subway.. I had a bud who ate a tuna sub from Subway everynight, and he was in his 40's then, and the guy lost weight. He swears by em.

Subway isn't that expensive. They have two really good deals.
"4 after 4" is where you can get 4 six inch subs after 4 o'clock for $9.99.

Plus they have they $2.50 daily special. I assume you are drinking water with your meals so it shouldn't cost over $3 to eat at Subway.

Subway is thet sh!t if you're on a bulking diet. I worked at one all summer (well sortof) so I got 1 free sub everytime and half off whenever so I've pretty much eaten them everyday. They've got about 1000 calories a piece with like 50g of protein in one. If you're cutting though, not a good option.

The subs that I eat are....

Tuna mostly (cheap)
Steaks good (moderate)
Chicken bacon ranch (expensive)
Meatball (so much sat fat though)

Chicken parmasan I imagine has a lot of calories but it tastes like a$s hole. Pretty sure meatball has the most calories and I'd have to imagine tuna has the 2nd most calories. Chicken bacon ranch definetely has the most grams of protein, 60+ I imagine.

If you like tuna go with it because it's cheap (for Subway) same with meatball. Chicken bacon ranch is more than $10 in Canada but fvck me it's good.
