BEWARE OF HOLLYWOOD
By Marlimus

I have come to the conclusion that there is an ongoing conspiracy in Hollywood to feminize and castrate men, in everything from music to movies to Oprah. There is a subtle subliminal message being perpetrated that romance is tantamount to giving women all the power as a high stakes gamble, and that love means not mutual compromise, but a kind of one sided compromise where the guy has to make most of the sacrifices in order to ‘prove’ his level of love and commitment. In short, there are influences in Hollywood that promote AFC (Average Frustrated Chump) behavior.

Look at romantic comedies. Now some of them are good, and they are not all estrogen-laden chick flicks that make men nauseous, but they tend to have certain trends running through them all. The climax in many of these movies usually involves the guy performing a desperate, ‘romantic’ act that basically brings him to his kness after giving away all his power. In these movies, the woman then swoons, gets all teary-eyed after being convinced that he loves her, and takes him in. This whole sequence usually follows after them man does something selfish or stupid, or screws up in some way. Many of these movies involve the man groveling and asking for forgiveness in some way. Observe:

In Hitch, starring Will Smith, Hitch goes to the woman’s house to practically beg her forgiveness once she finds out he is the Date Doctor, instead of standing his ground and explaining that he is doing nothing wrong and is making a living. She then reveals that the her new fiancé was just an actor she used to make him jealous.

In Anger Management, starring Jack Nicholson and Adam Sandler, Sandler puts it all on the line and proposes to her in front of an entire stadium of people, in order to prove to her that he loves her enough to overcome his fear of public displays of affection.

In ‘What Women Want’ starring Mel Gibson, after getting her fired and getting the job he wanted, and sleeping with her, he gets a sudden crisis of conscience and confesses that he had been sabotaging her, and once again putting it all on the line, begs for forgiveness and tells her he loves her. She promptly fires him.

In ‘Can’t Hardly Wait’, (a high-school graduation teen flick) the guy writes a long, needy love letter to a popular girl that he never had the guts to talk to, she tells him off at the pool party, then kisses him later on.

There is an older movie where a man stands outside a woman’s window with a stereo raised above his head, playing a romantic song.

In all these instances, the man had to debase himself in some way in order to win the girl. She is the Prize in all these interaction. Observe the lyrics to the following song:
“Whatever I said, Whatever I did,
I didn’t mean it,
I just want you back for good”

“Whatever you want,
Just tell me the song and I’ll sing it,
I just want you back for good”

When was the last time you heard a love song about a man playing with a girl by being a challenge, or playing hard to get? Women sing songs like “Independent Woman” and “Make Him Wait” and we sing songs like THAT! This is part of the reason that AFC’s think they fall in love, then act like pussies, then grieve when they don’t get the girl. They end up having this wide-eyed, panting puppy-dog attitude to love and being in love. It is bad enough that many mothers train their sons to be ‘nice’ to women (see my article about not taking advice from chicks) but we also have these influences bombarding us. Some of us were more resistant to it than others, which is why we are not all spineless girly-men, whereas some of us were losers, but saw the path to enlightenment when we studied seduction and became Don Juans. However, some never see the light at all, but are repeatedly passed judgment upon by the women they obsess over, who cast them into the dark abyss to be mired in the fiery lake of rejection. If thou art an Average Frustrated Chump, be ye not depressed, my son, study the words of the masters that you will find at sosuave.com, and ye shall find salvation. For the greatest of the saints were once the lowliest of sinners; many of the Master Don Juans readily admit that they too were once depressed and lonely before they found the path.

“ I had just broken up with my girlfriend, and began to have that sinking feeling, where I didn’t know if or when I would meet another girl.”

In old movies - before the Sixties (feminism, hippies, etc.) - Hollywood's leading men, even in romances, used to be pretty damn masculine. In fact, back then, the studios wouldn't allow a movie's lead character to be written as a weak man; it just wasn't done. Except for comedies, they'll show you how real men behave.

Love and romance have always been and always will be man's weakest moment, but unless it's a comedy, old movies will show a version of it more masculine than what you'll find today.

Film noir, the genre of dark, gritty movies from the 1930s, will also introduce you to the original femme fatale, the treacherous and predatory woman who uses her sexuality to break the hero's will.

Also, watch out for your own inner monologue. Unmasculine messages in it will affect you faster and easier than any external force.

From what I've seen so far, this is pretty much true.

Instead of tough guys like Clint Eastwood, James Bond, or Harrison Ford. We see fratboy pretty jockboy types plaguing the screen as such from American Pie, or any generic Romantic comedy.

I look at my collection of dvd movies, and most of them have very masculine male role models (mostly action films) and a quarter of that is filled with more feminine male lead characters. Sometimes it's okay to have some feminity in yourselves, but not too much.

Yeah. This is true. It's the 'polictical correct-ness team' striking again. It's now the law that women be portrayed as the ultimate being, & men be ridiculed & humiliated as much as possible.

Have you watched TV recently? Adverts are getting ridiculous in this sense. The worst example is from a post i saw here earlier...
This is it, here.Click here!

Lyrics to songs are bad enough. Has anyone heard the song "what makes a man" by Westlife?

Heres some sample lyrics..

Tell me what makes a man
Wanna give you all his heart
Smile when you're around
And cry when you're apart
If you know what makes a man
Wanna love you the way I do
Girl you gotta let me know
So I can get over you

What makes her so right?
Is it the sound of her laugh?
That look in her eyes
When do you decide?
She is the dream that you seek
That force in your life

Other girls will come along, they always do
But what's the point when all I ever want is you, tell me..

I'm sorry if you now have to clean your keyboard from the vomit you've just produced.

But to cheer you up i DEMAND that you download
A b*tch is a bi*ch by NWA

It's the ultimate DJ song i think. Even if you despise hip hop / rap, you should definatly listen to this song. It'll put a smile on your face if nothing else.

Do not be too easy. If you are too easy to get, she will not want you. If you are too easy to keep, she will lose interest in you. If you are too easy to control, she will not respect you.

That's because these movies are targeted primarily at WOMEN and those are the kinds of things that women like to see.

I can name just as many movies that feature primarily tough-guy type masculine characters: Sin City, xXx and the sequel, Fight Club, Bad Boys and the sequel, Fast and the Furious and the sequel, etc etc etc. That's because those movies are targeted at MEN and men like to see action and violence.

Then you have movies like Spiderman and Batman Begins that are targeted at both men AND women and feature both action and romance.

It's true that movies feature lots of AFC type characters, but you need to keep in mind that the purpose of movies is to entertain, not to reflect reality or show us how to live. To claim this is part of some far-reaching conspiracy seems ridiculous to me.

$$ is what motivates hollywood.

The __blanks__ are stealing my tax money. The ___ are stealing our jobs. The ___ are ruining our culture. The ___ are molesting our kids.

It must be very stressful to be attacked from all sides all of the time.

Edit: That's a state of mind I'm referring to, not you Marlimus.

Marlimus is SO right on this issue. Our whole society is focused on this womanization. Whenever you feel you can't fight, whenever you feel suppressed, whenever you feel you have to apologize for just being a man, hold up... realize the enemy has tried to hold you back, and speak your mind. Our worst enemy is the person who smiles in your face while holding a terrible secret intention. This is the enemy, and must be defeated at all cost. Bring this terrible monster down, and then all of us won't need sites like this to vent out on the bs holding us all back.
