I have some whey protein but it tastes absolutely disgusting with water or milk and its hard for me to drink it. This might be a dumb question but can you mix some powder with certain foods maybe? or would is the flavor to strong that I would still taste it? any alternatives to getting rid of the bad taste or not making it as bad would help. thanks

Put peanut butter in the powder when you skake or blend it. It makes it alot better.

Vanilla is the best flavor to mix IMO. I use Optimum Nutrition's (ON) vanilla. I mix it with milk a banana and Sunny Delight and it tastes like an Orange Julius.

I'm a fan of ON Chocolate... everytime somebody runs a survey around here, most people cite ON 100% whey as their fave, either choc or vanilla.

It's certainly possible to get unflavored whey. (One source: http://www.trueprotein.com/) Which will mix fine with whatever you want, though if you find the flavored stuff bitter, the plain stuff certainly won't be any better by itself.

But in any case, what are you using it for? If you're using it postworkout, you don't want to gum up the pure protein with any sort of solid food unless you absolutely must. Find a brand of whey you can tolerate for postworkout, and add dextrose or maltodextrin (search "postworkout nutrition" in this forum).
