Hey,

I've noticed that a lot of guys get strech marks around their arms after they start lifting heavy and stuff like that. I wanted to know if there is any way to avoid these stretch marks.

Thanks

Yes it is possible.
1. Stay properly hydrated, drink 1-2 gallons of water a day.
2. Use a lotion containing cocoa butter and apply it on the outerchest shoulder area. This area is the prime candidate for stretching.

Goodluck:)

you can try cocoa butter, however stretch marks are caused when you get bigger and your skin has no elasticity.

I have them and it pisses me off when people ask "What happened to you?!!" lol

I know I've heard of ways to get rid of them. Vitamin C creme or something like that. Does anyone know what I'm talking about?

On that note, I have perfect skin, girls comment on its smoothness. The reason I have that is because I drink 1.5 gallons of Orange Juice and Grapefruit Juice a day. But!!!!! Drinking that much was the biggest obstacle I had to losing weight. I got 1500 calories from drinking alone. Drink water like Fitness said, not OJ. And about lifting heavy weights, do what I did, by weight-training gloves. I got a $30 pair and they look hell of sweet, wear em occasionally outside and get compliment on them, but they also prevent marks from developping on my hands. Make sure they aren't "gloves," most of your fingers should not be covered, just the first bit.

Stretch Marks will fade over time to a color a few shades lighter than your normal skin color. The purple/redness of them is only temporary but you will lose the melanin in that part of the skin. There are a few things you can do to help them.

1. Start using REtin-A Micro .10% immediately. Do this morning and night. You will notice an improvement over time.

2. Look around at cosmetic laser surgeons. There is a laser called the Excimer Xtrac that will help all sorts of pigment issues (vitiligo, stretch marks, hypopigmentation). It's expensive and very few people have access to it. Go to www.photomedex.com for more information on it.

Other than that your S.O.L. Wear them with pride or cover them up if you don't like them. This is the reason you gotta bulk SLOWLY. Everyone gets so damn impatient and they gain 15 lbs in 2 months and a few marks to go along with it.

Some ways to prevent stretch marks

1) Apply Cocoa butter cream everyday to areas that may be affected by them (Delts, Arms, Stomach, Quads). Pretty much rub it all over. Palmer's Cocoa Butter Cream works best IMHO.

2) Take 800 IU of Vitamin E a day

3) Drink 1-2 gallons of water a day

4) Take in Flax oil everyday.

These have been used on women during pregnancy to help prevent stretch marks on their stomach from birth. It isn't a guarantee but it's better than nothing.

If you ever plan on doing a PH cycle (1AD,4AD) then I recommend starting this routine 2-3 weeks BEFORE you begin taking them. This will allow your skin to sofen some in advance.
