Well you could go on a maintenence diet and continue to workout. This will help you gain strength, but not size. Remember, unless you're very new you can't burn fat and gain muscle at the same time.

Don't increase your calories, but go on a powerlifting regiment. Clean and jerk, Squat, Deadlift, Bench, pullups, rows, close-grips. Throw in some chain training if you are hardcore. And use explosive lifting movements.

For sports and as little weight gain as possible, look into Power to the People and the Kettlebell books by Pavel Tsatsouline.

I like you're thinking, son.

Snatches are a money lift too.

Never try to read a woman's mind. It is a scary place. Ignore her confusing signals and mixed messages. Assume she is interested in you and act accordingly.

You know what? I could never get the hang of the snatch. I don't know how to transfer from the clean to the jerk in one smooth motion. Is it just a clean to a jerk with no pause or what?

Snatch is a (very) hard excercise to do.
No pause. Practice with light weight and get a hang of it.

What happens, IN HER MIND, is that she comes to see you as WORTHLESS simply because she hasn't had to INVEST anything in you in order to get you or to keep you.

You were an interesting diversion while she had nothing else to do. But now that someone a little more valuable has come along, someone who expects her to treat him very well, she'll have no problem at all dropping you or demoting you to lowly "friendship" status.

I don't do the jerk part. Just cleans and snatches for me. If I wanted to do an explosive shoulder exercise, I would do push presses by themselves.

The snatch isn't as hard as everyone thinks. If you can do a clean then you will be able to do a snatch with a little practice.
