Along others like I, those who think generally on the same term, I have to ask you this - what exactly is wealth?

yeah but I read one of his posts somewhere and it said he was on his way to getting there. It made it sound like right now he had debt, but this year he would make money.

Do you know if he's made a million dollars yet for sure?

He stopped posting because he's too busy.

To become wealthy is actually very taxing on your social life.

I am not sure if he's "there" yet but I do know that the debt he has, is actually good debt. Unlike most people, Str8up doesn't seem like the kind of person to overspend and not keep a budget or doesn't know how to read a financial statement.

I once met the guy. At the time, he did have a place of residence in a high-demand, lofty part of town. And like people who actually do have money, compared to the countless who try to appear as though they have money, if you met him you’d never know it.

I'd love to meet him and talk with him one-on-one. Where is he from, anyway?

I'm going to assume Florida.

I’m not quite sure. From what was my impression of him and from what details about him I vaguely remember (I had met him two years ago), I would venture to guess Florida.

Hey Deep Dish, good to see you are still around.

So you want to know if I am wealthy....

What is wealth? To me it's undefinable, just like happiness.

Am I a millionaire? I own millions of dollars worth of real estate, but it isn't owned outright. Anyone who knows wealth knows that the only way to make your money grow quickly is to borrow to buy assets. If you can manage to borrow a million you can easily make a million.

Money (actually net worth, control of assets) is simply a tool that allows me to live the kind of life I want to live. I'm not trying to amass bajillions of dollars, all I care about is being able to live the life I want to live and not having to worry about money.

To me, wealth is not only measured in dollars or assets, but equally as important, time. All the money in the world wouldn't do a thing for me if I had to slave all year to get it. I am finally at the point where I only work a few hours per week, and I can pretty much travel when and where I wish. Although I didn't realize it until I was finally in that position, you just can't put a price on that kind of freedom.

If you don't read the whole thread, at least read the books I mentioned, since that is why I wrote it in the first place.
