I could care less what the video says or doesn't say...it doesn't affect me personally just as it doesn't affect anybody else here personally who has sufficient self assurance to understand that such a video has no bearing on their personal reality.

For a man with a theory is never at the mercy of a man with experience.

He said they didn’t have any research because they didn’t cite anything. They just SAID there was science, not that there actually was. That’s what Prince Ea does with his feel-good bull**** hype. Want to know how to ACTUALLY make scientific arguments? Prove to US how it is right. Don’t tell us to prove it wrong. That’s not what science is. Anyone who has taken a college-level science class in the past 25 years knows that. Shoot, they teach this stuff to 8th graders (in one ear, out the other, but taught nonetheless lol). It’s done when everyone learned about the Scientific Process.

Did you know that when people eat more ice cream, instances of drowning go up as well? This is an actual fact. You can find it quite easily. The reason why this was done was to show fools like you not to make generalized arguments. Would the solution to prevent people from drowning be to stop selling ice cream? That’s stupid. But that’s what the evidence shows. In real life, 1+1 ≠ 2. Why? Because there are an innumerable amount of variables that need to be taken into consideration.

How about this, did you know that breathing in oxygen can cause cancer? It’s a true fact. Oxygen basically allows the electrons in the ETC to keep transferring over to the next stage in order produce ATP. ATP is the universal source of energy. This allows cells to divide and replicate. So if we stop ATP production via asphyxiation, we can prevent cancer! Yeah, let’s see how long you can last with oxygen. Humans have about 7 minutes worth of ATP before we just die.

How about this proposal: prove to us how LMS is right. Don’t tell us to prove it wrong. That’s what *actual* SCIENCE is, by the way. Also, personal anecdotes are absolutely meaningless in science. That is what the whole video basically is (hence why BB said it was bull****)

The argument - Money makes men appear more attractive, which comprises all of 20 seconds of a 10-minute video
The "evidence" - Based against a "lab test" (what lab test? What empirical evidence? How many respondents? etc etc), this gentleman went from a 4 to a 7 or 8, based on 3 women. Did they taking a sample of 1000 women, or how about even 10 women? Did the women represent the same socioeconomic status? Did they show 10 different women the picture without his salary, and then 10 different women the picture with salary?
The reality - the video displays absolutely no "proof" or tangible evidence to support their claim... Show me a well-thought out experiment, something like 3 gentleman of various genetic makeup, have two pictures of each, one with salary and one without. Take a random sample of 600 women of varying socio-economic status, race, and marital status. Then show each picture to 100 of the women. Then compare results...

And then ask yourself? Will any jamoke reveal his salary before meeting a woman?

The argument - I have absolutely no clue. They don't mention anything, other than showing a video of Justin Bieber approaching some random women. $hit, I would probably react the same way to meeting a celebrity.
The evidence - absolutely nothing... please point it out cause I can't find it

I'm pleased I am not the only one who sees the flaw in the entire premise, which tries to set up the straw man (and doesn't do a terribly clever job of it either) and then tries to get us debating beliefs rather than facts. People here (even a chick or two - blasphemy!!) are smarter than that!

Never argue over someone else's belief system. This is the same reason men here routinely tell red pill guys that trying to explain TRP to blue pill men is futile. In such an instance you are persuading against a deeply held belief. Hard core feminists are another good example. Good luck changing their beliefs with a rational conversation. Conversations around belief systems get emotional and irrational at light speed. See thread for observational proof of this phenomena .

I'm a flipping research scientist & executive in the health care space for crying out loud. The notion that this video is the least bit scientific is uninformed at best and to me, quite funny. My statisticians would split their sides laughing.

It's funny that they have Tyler from RSD on that video saying that "Looks don't do anything", that it isn't even a nice bonus. I think he's since backed off from that stance, however. It used to be that "Looks don't matter" was a key aspect of PUA theory though. When I first came here you would get your post deleted if you said looks matter.

Regarding the idea that women are not as visual as men: I don't think the point is that women are not visual at all, clearly they are. It only makes sense that they respond to visual clues of testosterone and good health. I think the point is that women are not as visual as men. And I don't see how they could possibly be as visual as men. Because with men, attraction is nearly 100% looks. We don't care at all about a woman's money or status usually, but women do. So as a percentage, there's no way women could be as visual as men.

That's not to say things like personality are not important to men, it's just that it's not really part of the attraction phase. Once attraction is established, then each person applies his or her own filters, depending on what is important to them. But for men, we can usually tell if we are attracted to a girl just by looking at her. From there she may qualify or disqualify herself.

I know several girls that I have always been physically attracted to, but from a personality standpoint, I just don't like them. Funny how that works.
