There is no trick. You have to want to quit. That's it. There are aids to help you stay off of them but the decision comes down to whether or not you truly want to quit or not.

KarmaSutra is absolutely right. About 2 years ago, I decided that I wanted to try to quit. I bought some patches and those worked for about a month. I was happy with myself, but then started back up again. Later on, I tried to quit again. I bought more patches and those gave me headaches. That lasted about 1 week.

One day, I was out on my balcony and lit up a cigarette. It was the worst tasting thing I ever had in my life. I felt sick to my stomach. I exhaled and threw up over the side of the balcony. I put out the cigarette. Since that day, I have not ever had a craving for cigarettes. At times, I go out to clubs and hang around people that smoke. The smoke doesn't bother me. When I get home and smell my clothes from the previous day, I get sick again.

You just have to want to quit. You don't need any aids, or swinging watches. Just want it.

"fvck it...i quit...im tired of waking up in the morning with my lungs feeling all chard anyway.."

I have one year smoke-free, and it was kinda easy. The BIG PART was that I was through with smoking. After smoking for 23 years- I simply got tired of the daily hacking coughs, the huge lung cookies, and the odor.

At first, I did have to rely on the nicotine gum- for the first three months. After that- I just kept forgetting to buy the gum and said, "I don't need this either". Now, I can ride my mountain bike up a 10% uphill grade four miles, without a rest. My doctor is extremely proud of me. He said at the rate I am going- my body will repair itself like it NEVER SMOKED.......in less than 5 years.

Increase your LIFE EXPECTANCY................quit the butts NOW.
