my date had to cancel our initial lunch date due to unexpected clients cutting into her lunch hour. she was apologetic and eager for rescheduling.

what is the appropriate response from a seasoned dj?

Hmm, I would say reschedule ON YOUR TERMS, and if it doesnt work this time then a big loud next is in order.

if she does look forward to the date, she'll call back, with suggestions of times.

If she hasnt, you can call her back ONCE in the coming days. no begging, no jokes, no excuses. keep it short and get to the point. If she still reschedules or has something else, then shes not interested.

Tell her that it's HER TURN to schedule the date or lunch but you have to do it in a C%F way or she'll think your AFC/SHY. Wtf... on your terms? He already did that and every date should be on YOUR TERMS... sigh... newbs.

This is true, if a woman is interested, truly sorry (and available) she will give a counter offer.

Whiskerbiskit, nice name, cough, cough!

You are 38 years old - can I ask what brought you to this site this month?

You are not experienced with women?

i had been getting the dj newsletter for a while but didn't know there was a forum so i joined. i'm a bit disappointed that i seem to be out of touch with the age group but i was the same dog i was twenty years ago so the advice is good throughout.

when you hit your thirties and forties guys are just not into the club scene. it's stuffed with kids trying to show off. i prefer a lounge where you can chill and have actual, meaningful conversations.

my problem has always been in the approach. i can break the ice just fine but step 2, where to go from the quick hello and to the nitty gritty of asking her out/getting her number that's my weak spot.

outside of the clubs where are some other good places you can pick up women? *especially* if you're a thirtysomething.

This is going to warp your mind, whiskerbiskit...

Everywhere.

Anywhere you can walk up to a woman and talk to her is a good place to pick up women.

You see a woman? Go pick her up. It's really that simple.

The more you read, the more you'll realize that there is no "good time" or "good place" and that waiting for a "better time" or "better place" is like waiting to win the lottery without ever buying a ticket.

let's roleplay here for a second vulpine. run by me a very typical scenario. there's two hotties in the line at subway on your lunch hour.

dialogue follows:

ME: hey ladies, i'm starving. what do you recommend? [or whatever opener]
Them:

now take over from here - how do you get from here to the digits?
