I was watching an episode of The Crocodile Hunter and it got me thinking....Steve Irwin got it right...

His passion and enthusiasm for life, nature, and animals was incredible. Every second of his life he was living his dream. He describes himself as a man on a mission. He knew his purpose in life and lived it, fully with his heart and soul. His life's work became his greatest passion.

He lived for the world, sharing his gifts and personality. His purpose was greater than himself. He served mankind and animalkind with courage and love and in return the world loved him back.

In my opinon, doing what you love(purpose) to the point you would die for it, is being happy and successful. It is the good life. Not the Benz or the college degree or the women or the house or the vacations, but living your purpose in life is truly a life thatr is well lived.

I thought exactly the same thing

people were saying "he got what he deserved for provoking animals, bla bla bla"
but when I reflected on his life and the media, I realized that he was a man who lived his dream, and even died his dream.

I have great respect for him. May he rest in peace.

Ya, he was a great guy.

I had no idea so many people respected him THAT much until his death. It kind of seemed like he was a popular joke amond comedians and talk show hosts. It sucks cus I do an awesome Steve Irwin impression and now I can't do it anymore cus it upsets people that he's gone. RIP big guy.

This thread, though short, was one of the best I've read in one very long time.

If there's anything to learn from his life it's the importance of passion. Find something you are passionate about and go with it, you'll be a happier person.

although i do believe he wouldve been poking that ray with a stick to get a reaction i do honestly believe he was a true legend the things he did for animals like endangered corocs and reptiles was amazing.

IF he didnt spend most of his money on property to house crocs and other endangered animals and sanctuaries he would be a muillionaire, but he wasnt.

I live in Australia, and you wouldn't believe the influence he has created over us.

He, to us, was a legend.

And he will forever be remembered as someone who lived his dream to the fullest. No matter what.

RIP Stevo.

He was a millionaire. I think he was the 5th richest man in australia.

Not many people know it but he bought out huge national parks so that they will never be logged. He also owns the biggest animal hospital in aus.

Rip Steve Irwin

Its sad how he died like that... I like his shows

You essentially upped your VALUE in her eyes by showing her that, if she wants you, she has to at times do things that you like to do. You are SOMETHING after all. You are NOT FREE. If she wants to hang with you, it's going to cost her something — time, effort, money.

I just saw Ocean's deadliest and Crikey What an adventure on Discovery channel. Man that guy had b@lls, big and huge. I really respect him for what he did to animalkind and also how he lived his dream. The whole documentry was soooooooo touching.

Crikey ended with a message from him "Whatever you do in life do it with a passion and enthusiasm, and you will be a winner."

ps: And the people who critisized him, they prolly don't have enough b@lls to even go near a damn dog.

I remember watching an interview with his wife after he died and she said one thing that made Steve great was the fact he never sweated the small stuff.

There are too many people walking around and getting p1ssed on the smallest things in life and most of the time it ain't worth it.

I was watching the show and realized something. After seeing what this guy did my "problems" are like nothing compared to his problems. I mean his passion for what he did was sooooooo inspiring. Plus as DJDamage mention ed that Irwin's wife said don't sweat over small stuff. Sooooo true. Over the last few days I have been kinda bummed over my breakup with my "gf", now coming to think abt it, what is the big deal? I have so much ****in stuff to take care off, I have my life to live. So some hoe didn't like me and left me, , screw her its her loss.

Plus he regularly approached 2000lbs+, 15 feet crocs and came back alive to tell the story and here are some guys (unfortunately including me as well) that are afraid to approach chicks that are what 120-130lbs 5,3 -5,4 maybe? The worst that could happen to Irwin was that he could be eaten alive but he still went. The worst that could happen to me is that I get rejected. Big ****ing deal????? He makes me see stuff from a whole new perpective.
