Static training

Can you guys tell me whether this has any credibility?

I know static training is useful, but this guy is advocating ONLY doing it.

I'm watching a video right now about it, I'll try to get a link of the video as well.

seriously: if this truly worked as well as they claimed, wouldn't everyone be doing it?

Lifting heavy and not working out 7 days a week works as claimed but hardly anyone does that.

Sounds like isometrics. They're supposed to work pretty well for increasing strength. I've used them before on the overhead press when I kept plateauing, the next time I overhead pressed I could complete the reps. It might have just been a coincidence though.
