Normally, after a weightlifting session, I feel my muscles burning and tired (not in pain though).

But recently, i have tried static contraction. I absolutely pushed my limits and hekd the thing in place for 8 seconds. Sometimes, my face looked like some contorted clay putty. But anyways, when I step out of the gym, i feel tired, but no burning sensation.

Does this mean I'm not doing the static contraction properly?

Thx.

Just because a woman listens to you and acts interested in what you say doesn't mean she really is. She might just be acting polite, while silently wishing that the date would hurry up and end, or that you would go away... and never come back.

Don't go by feel, go by weight. If the weight goes up then you are doing it right.
