Hey guys,

I'm 5'7"-ish, weighing 125 lb. I would classify myself as an ecto-mesomorph, probably leaning towards the latter. Physically, I've always been the "runt" of my year, wherever I go. That is, I've never really been physically fit, probably thanks to my childhood asthma. I'm horrible at sports, am totally uncoordinated, and have no cardiovasular endurance, strength, or mass. I've gotten a little better, but I'm still phyically unfit.

I really want to fix all of this. Within the next six months, I want to achieve at least an average level of fitness. I want to become acceptable at sports, and more importantly, I want to be large and lean, if that makes sense. I would also like to have high cardiovasular endurance. But my priority is bulking up.

That said, I hear a lot said about Starting Strength and skinnyguy.net. I've skimmed both, but I'm not really sure which one is best/which one is for me. I'd love to hear your input. :)

You're not an ecto-mesomorph. You're only 15 and your body is still growing, that's why you're thin. All your energy is going to growth, not muscular growth, just growth in general.

Yeah man, I was 125 and 5'4 in high school when I was 14. One year after I graduated HS I was 6' tall and had 15.5" arms and a nasty 8-pack.

If you REALLY want to get in shape, then join a school sport. It'll be very difficult, but just remember that you don't have to be the best to be on the team!

@Alle-Gory: Alright.

@Deadly_Ripped: I understand I'm not the best, but at this level of fitness it's guaranteed I can't get onto a sport. If I can just get to an acceptable level of fitness, then it's okay. I'm just not quite there yet.

I'd still like some program suggestions.

If you were mesomorphic you would be naturally athletic and genetically proned to easy muscle gains.

From what you described, that doesn't sound like you.

But like another mentioned, you got plenty of growing to do before worrying about or classifyin your somatotype.

Look, I'm gonna make this as simple as possible for you:

Do Starting Strength, and eat eat eat!

That is all.

It is what I would do if I were your age.

It doesn't matter how good-looking you are, how romantic you are, how funny you are... or anything else. If she doesn't have something INVESTED in you and the relationship, preferably quite a LOT invested, she'll dump you, without even the slightest hesitation, as soon as someone a little more "interesting" comes along.
