Yeah, how dare women and minorities have prominent roles in great film franchises *shakes fist*. lol

I mean, who cares that the role for Finn was generally completed before Boyega auditioned, had no race selected for the character, and that Boyega just happened to kill the audition. Who cares that he's a talented young actor that's been gaining better roles over the last few years.

Nah, because its a black guy, and a female leading in a major movie franchise...it must be "PC" huh? Nevermind the fact that Princess Leia was one of the leads in the original Star Wars trilogy.

Also, Poe Dameron is a damn good character, and him and Finn had great chemistry...despite Poe's small screen time.

Also, the actor who plays Poe is a Latino, Oscar Issac, is Guatamalen and Cuban. Obviously some European ancestry....but lol @ people here just assuming he's a "white guy". Dude's here cannot help but over-analyze everyone and everything through racial and gender biases.

Does every ****ing thing need this over analysis of race and gender?

Fin was a beta, and this is coming from a black guy. They pretty much made fin a bi^tch through the entire movie. The lead girl had more nuts then him. I hope they flesh out his character and turn him into a bad@ss

And I doubt fin and the lead girl become romantic involved, its still incest hillbillies who think that has never exist and can't handle to see that on film. Even in the future like star wars lol

Im pretty sure his ass kicking from Kylo Ren and being put in a coma is gonna change Finn a lot. Im hoping he ends up a Jedi...because if not, that's a whole lot of misdirection in marketing that Abrams and his gang fed to us. Plus since when has a non-force sensitive person every wielded a light saber in battle?

He really was but i find it normal since he had been a stormtrooper for his whole life . What i loved was that there was some truth about his relation with ray.

He almost confessed his feelings for her and what he got in the end was a friendship announcement.

They barely knew each other...and he's in a coma...and she's about to start training. There was no moment for her to confess any feelings for Finn. I do think Rey and Finn have chemistry...and she's a much better character with him on screen with her so far...so I don't think a relationship is out of the question.

Though I think them being just great friends would work well and be less clichéd. I mean...haven't we had enough for love interests being so much of a focus in Star Wars trilogies.

Jaylan I like Boyega as well, I think attack the block sucked but I like him as an actor. I feel the story is itself offensive and PC Bvllsh1t and his character is an over used Jar Jar binks. Why isn't he commanding a star destroyer or the pilot of the falcon or Captain Phasma or or or or. I think the real issue here is that Rey is a Mary Sue and she stomps all over Finn. Instead of even being a sidekick, Finn is reduced to being the 'totally incapable without a woman holding his hand, plucky, idiot' who just happens to be along for the ride... even BB8 is given more respect. I feel he could have been a better Kylo Ren but then again the story is fvcking garbage.

WHERE ARE ALL THE Y-WINGS, B-WINGS, A-WINGS, Tie Interceptors, Tie Bombers and other star-ships?!?! There are 100's of variations of corvettes, capital ships, transports, speeders and yet the only thing that is shown flying is a retarded X-wing and a Tie Fighter with an antenna on the top? Kylo's shuttle looks like a Bunny head and the imperial transport is a slab of sh1t. You have to agree, Rey's speeder looks more like a giant **** or a fudge-cicle. Where was the battle of Jakku? Where are the updates on the characters left behind? Where the fvk does a desert rat just suddenly learn to fly a star ship and use force powers with NO training... not even pod racing?!? Its as if an Ethopian garbage picker suddenly found a fighter jet and became an ace pilot on the same day, its total bs. This movie is a huge fail and its a fail because it just rehashes a bunch of sh1t that has been done before with virtually no updates and a WOMAN in charge. There were perfectly good stories to pull from in the novels with better woman characters like the twins or Mara Jade in Heir to the Empire or the Yuzhan Vong war. I feel the Caravan of Courage (The live action Ewok's movie) about a 5 year old girl was FAR superior to this one. No they needed a perfectly typical all American white girl in command. Really Poe's character should have been Rey and Finn's character would have been far funnier and interesting as the comic relief between two males, instead he is portrayed as being a stupid subordinate male to an overly aggressive feminist. I'm telling you right now, a piss poor little girl who grows up by herself on a 3rd world planet is not going to act like that, I know because I married one.

This was not a movie made for the fans or even by the fans, it was a movie made to pander to SJW women. JJ Abrams is a gay dude and he was qouted as saying he wanted a movie "mothers could take their daughters to".

You want a woman who is believable as a star fighter pilot? Then you gotta cast a mother figure like Sigourney Weaver. Rey looks like an A-TYPICAL university freshman who hasn't figured out yet that feminism doesn't work on men and safe spaces don't exist. Why couldn't her character have been Asian or even Latino? Answer: Not a single white women would have gone to see it, white women hate when the spotlight goes to other races and this was a movie made to pander specifically to white women. If you really wanted to flip the script, make Rey a tough little Black/Asian girl and Finn a white dude but....no, that's not Politically Correct right now. Count for me the number of movies with a Black girl / White guy love interest/pairing? Can you even name one? Not a single white woman would have gone to see a movie about a White guy getting a Black girl, it doesn't fit the PC / Feminist agenda.

Good movies and TV with REALLY GOOD female characters that women have absolutely no interest in? Aliens (Ripley and Vasquez), Pacific Rim (The Jap co-pilot), Terminator 2 (Sarah Conner and even the woman terminator from 3). Willow (The daughter of the queen), Teela (Masters of The Universe), X-files (Dana Scully), 1980's V (Diana),Firefly (Kalee). Labyrinth (Sarah), Even Jessie and James from Team Rocket have more chemistry than Rey and Finn.

Nope instead we have a super 'independent/strong/i don't need no man' IN YOUR FACE character designed solely to 'not be a WHITE man'.

I was a woman long before feminism reared it's ugly head. It has done me more harm than good. There is nothing more unappealing than a militant woman !!!

This movie is a failure to understand the true nature of men and women and the dynamics of inter-racial relationships. Its a feminist fairy tale made by a little clown who panders to WHITE women's groups. Its as awkward as watching the Clone Wars romantic scenes and Anakin killing children. This Star Wars is a total FAIL.

If you want to see an Alpha in scifi watch Captain Kirk.

I preferred Sisko. He knew when to be diplomatic and when to be a hardass. Kirk was just full speed ahead.

I enjoyed Star Wars. I liked everything about Finn's character except his interaction with Rey. Too much white knight ****. But come on... he saved Poe and stood up to Kylo Ren. Has to count for something...
