I have a bit of a dillemma at the moment. Due to the fact I've moved into a tiny house, i can't fit my squat rack in it. I can't afford a gym, especially my local one.
I did work experience in a gym a couple weeks ago and my manager liked me, so i'll try get a saturday job and save up for a gym membership at a decent gym, as the one i did work experience is all machine based and doesnt even have a squat/power rack.
So, when i squat I have to power clean the barbell onto my chest, then push press it above and behind my head. Atm i should be squatting 48kg but i can only power clean the barbell once with that weight, then i cant do it anymore cos i havent got strength.
My dillemma is I'm seeing results with the 5x5, but its based around squatting which i can't keep raising without a squat rack. So, would it be possilbe to combine 5x5 with squats and milk? As in squatting 1x20 then doing the rest of the 5x5 as set out, or would this be overtraining?
