Spooning, Without Losing an Arm

I spent the night with a girl last night. We fell asleep on her (rather small) couch in a way that my arm slowly lost all the blood inside of it and fell completely asleep. This seems to be a recurring problem for me, which leads me to ask--how the hell do you spoon without losing an arm in the process?

Ah the eternal question... how to prevent the crunched arm from spooning.

If I'm in bed, I put my arm up and under the pillow under my (or her) head. I do this when I sleep, anyhow. Or you can fold it behind her back and against your chest, but then you're not as close as you can be.

Yeah, I eventually moved it behind her back, but that was still uncomfortable plus it didn't feel nearly as intimate (though at least I had feeling!).

I will admit that I really love losing feeling in my arms. If I wake up and my arm is asleep, I'll totally hold it straight up in the air just for the creepy feeling of blood sneaking up your arm. WEIRD stuff.

As for spooning, to tell you the truth, I can't sleep in contact with someone anyhow. It's a) too fricking hot and b) unless you just boned her, you're sitting there with your wang against her butt and that's kinda distracting.

Personally I like to get my arm down beneath her neck between the pillow and the shoulder. Not only does it stop you losing circulation the most natural place for your hand to go is right on top of her breast.
