sound system

hey guys, just wondering if there're any people out there who know about electronics...I'm moving into a small room next year at uni so I'm having to leave my seperates at home :-(

instead I'm thinking of building this system, it should be nice and small so perfect for my room...

I take an apple mini system ( http://store.apple.com/Apple/WebObjects/ukstore.woa/wa/RSLID ?nnmm=browse&mco=9A42D2A0&node=home/desktop/mac_mini) and hook it up to a 42" plasma tv ( http://www.hyperfi.co.uk/default.aspx?CategoryID=204&Ite mID=Panasonic_42pw6_ex-display) as the monitor....then I link it up to a BOSE Acoustimass 10 sound system ( http://www.bose.co.uk/GB/en/home-entertainment/home-cinema/s peaker-systems/AM10/index.jsp)

does that sound at all practical? any suggestions? The BOSE speakers do sound awesome although I'm up for any alternatives

yeah i was looking into getting a surround sound system for the room in my house...does anybody have any suggestions for a sound system like $100-$200?

Altec Lansing makes great speakers, might want to check them out, better value than the bose systems..

I know this very well, I've got a pretty awesome set up atm but it just won't fit in my room next year...

I'm living in a house too, and the other 5 guys're never in and when they are in, they're also listening to loud music so this is no problem...
