It's amazing to me how addicted I used to be to this place and now the very idea of posting seems like more of a hassle than anything else. I haven't logged in for months now and I didnt figure out why till today...a big lightbulb went off in my head and I came to a staggering realization...
THE NEW SOSUAVE SUCKS BIG, SWEATY DONKEY BALLS.
Am I the only one who finds all the whistles and bells here annoying? It seems that pages take twice as long to load and call me silly, but I miss the classic blue and white theme. The new look has only succeeded in reinforcing the fact that this place just aint what it used to be. The AFC to DJ ratio here has steadily plummeted over the years and now I gotta wait LONGER to listen to these poor suckas whine about their lives. Is it any wonder the real playas dont hang out here anymore?
Hell, forget about game. I already know how to lay chicks. But what kept me coming back here was the interesting topics of conversation and the people behind them. Nowadays it seems that the vibrant characters and personalities that once populated this forum have either been banned or simply moved on. Sure you have a few stragglers holdin it down and its nice to have posters like Rollo, A-Unit and a handful of others who actually have a set of nuts in their pants, but for me the magic of this place is just ...gone.
I am not saying that SoSuave is hopeless, nor will this be my "last post ever" as I cry out for attention. I just want to know if I am the only one who is repulsed by the changes that have taken place here (in terms of speed/performance and overall vibe)
And just to show I am not another whiner I propose a simple solution to attract better posters.
1. Offer a "Classic" style chooser. Posters can view SoSuave in blue/white or even go old school with that tan theme. If the place feels more like home, maybe some of the better posters will stick around.
2. Do something about the performance issues. The forum takes FOREVER to load and it makes me think twice before posting anything.
