Hey guys I'm a muai tai kickboxer and anyone who knows about kickboxing knows that you need to be very flexible. A about a month ago I was doing the splits way too hard and ever since my groin muscles hurt and its hard for me to do kicks very high. What's the best way to recover from this?

The best way is to stop maing it worse. Take a break from the high kicks and do some other types.

Improve technique on the others and when it stops hurting you can slowly ease back into it.

Btw, it could be more than just the muscle itself, you probly stretched the ligaments that attach the muscle to the bone and it could be very sore as a result. If it really hurts all the time, talk to a physician to make sure nothing is wrong.

I compete muay thai too bro, if your groin hurts for more than a few days i would see a doctor. It would be a pity to fail a medical before a fight because of something like that.
