Some more '********' in need of translation

Guys, having read earlier posts, I was wonderin what your interpretations are on the following '********' lines/excuses used by the same chick (early 20's, little experience with guys, fairly religious, youngest child, older father, lives at home, very quiet, but a definite 8!) at one time or another during the times we went out.

It started ok, but now realise I went totally AFC, reducing her in IL drastically (flowers, gifts etc on a third date, calling a lot - with little response, lack of kino), undoubtedly blown it, but did all these things before discovering this site. Some of the things she said:

1)" Do you know many other girls/Did you meet any when you went on holiday?"

2) "I've got stuff to do, so maybe another day" (on earlier occasions she'd always made a counter-offer if she couldn't make it. Not this time)

3) "I'll have to think about it" (when asked if she wanted to go out the following weekend. We'd been out 3 times prior to this)

4)"Dr so-and-so is very charming" (she works in an infirmary. He's a colleague)

5)"My ex opened his own sports shop, and took half a year off with stress. He still made nearly 10,000"

1) could be jealousy, could be hoping you've moved on
2) 3) and 4) sounds like trying to make you jealous or hinting something to you,, I'm leaning towards the latter.
5) Nothing important to me

To me it sounds like a lost casue because you have severly handicapped yourself with the af tendencies you have shown her.

My guess---this is a test question. It probably happened early in the dating when she was trying to figure you out.

??? Test-??? A "you don't measure up" statement and attempt to see how you deal with that. ???

Think you both pretty much hit the nail on the head there. Just a case of too much too soon, and the gifts weren't even backed up by any form of kino or affection, just going through the motions in some lame attempt to 'make her like me more.' This site is a life saver, no mistake.

Incidentally, was told by a female friend that this chick 'still likes me' - she has funny way of showing it. Saw her recently on a night out, tapped her shoulder and said hi, she just turned round and said 'oh, hello,' before turning round again. Her IL is so low now it isn't even funny.

Well, it was £10,000, not dollars. Anyway, I just changed the subject - it was the beginning of the 2nd date when she mentioned it for no apparant reason, I wasn't interested. Who cares, it's all in the past.
