Whats the difference between them? I've got abit of soft fat around my abdominals, how do I get rid of it? Is is any different to hard fat, eg. pot bellied men?

um, there's only one sort of adipose tissue and only one way to get rid of it: diet and exercise.

He might be referring to the other type of fat storage...

Theres the subcutaneous(sp?) that's just under the skin and is "soft".

And then there's the fat that deposits around internal organs such as intestines. you'd still have the relatively muscular exterior, but nevertheless a pot belly b/c the fat is inside instead.

Alex's post is also right though, there aren't 2 diffrent kinds of fat, just different places for it to be stored.

hmmm, that might be the reason for some people having a six pack but a belly that sticks out. How do you get rid of the 'internal' fat?

MMA-ers Jeff Monson and Chuck Lidel has had this kinda stomach forever. Ripped abs but his stomach still bulges out. Same with. Those guys are in awesome physical condition and spent a lot of calories a day with their training. Diet and exercise do not seem to working their 'internal' fat.
