I should really say "people" but this site is mostly about helping men. Raising your self-esteem is the best thing a man can EVER do for himself.

Its true that the lower your self-esteem is, the more society (and women) benefit from you. The media in particular will (on a daily basis) market to men on the basis of their penis anxiety. Things like beer, liquor, aftershave, and the like, are sold on the basis of how manly they will make you feel or how sexually attractive. Things only weak betas buy into. The marketing business knows it can sell just about anything to Men, if you approach them the right way. And that is why marketers love young men, age 16-35, as you can sell them just about anything... even the idea of charging a machine-gun nest. Men are brave. Men are strong. Men are idiots. Nothing works better for other people than a strong back and a weak mind.

Happy people with high self-esteem make horrible consumers. They will not blow all their money on “status items” to impress friends and women. They will not buy a woman whatever she wants just to get her love/affection/body. They will not believe they need the latest model car or iphone to look "successful".

Society’s economic model is based on growth. In order for growth to occur, people need to keep spending money, buying new things and trying to top themselves. For companies to stay in business they need to convince people their products will improve their lives, help them get laid and make them happy. And when that doesn’t happen.. don’t worry.. they have a new and improved product that works better than the last one. And the cycle goes on..

Strengthen your minds men. The rest will fall into place. Gimmicks like "game", money, and clothes won't make you alpha. Only inner strength and wisdom will.

I agree with your post, but it's difficult to get laid when you're wearing old clothes and living in a van. Like it or not, people judge you based on your appearance; it's been ingrained in us to do so by evolution. It used to be a tool for survival.

True.

But the point I'm trying to make is.. men often do self-destructive things just to project an image. If you can afford to wear designer cloths, own a boat, have 3 luxury cars and live in a mini mansion.. then do it. But if you can't afford it.. don't do it anyway just to impress people and get laid. Stop "pretending". A woman who wants money will get it, and if you don’t have it she will leave you.

And why spend time and money you don’t have? The more you honor yourself, the less you’ll care if she leaves. Don’t spend more money than you want to, don’t forfeit opportunities you seek, don’t ignore responsibilities or short-change friends for women. Your relationship will last longer this way and if she does choose to leave (or you choose to leave) you’ll be fully intact emotionally, financially, personally and spiritually.

Yeah, I'm guilty of this to an extent. Not necessarily destructive, but I do things that I normally wouldn't in order to attract women. I wouldn't give a sh1t about my appearance if it wasn't for women.

Damn, I only figured this out in early 30s, but it's brilliant.

Just like to add any one time purchase of a product isn't going to magically help you. It's the overall image you project that matters.

Interesting.... well. Back in the stone ages societies, and tribes alpha male leaders wanted tough men in their tribe, they wanted men that could fight tigers other tribes and keep the women and children from dying.

Today the alpha males running big corporations no longer want too many alphas, because they are too much competition. Mutual strengh is no longer a virtue needed for survival. And with globalization, there really no longer is any sence of society by people who are REALLY running the world. The benefit now is more weak males trying to buy self-esteme and social value from them.

Add to that you don't really have to be an alpha male to led a corporation, you can luck into it, or just have it left to you. And don't get me started on the election process of politicians, a real Alpha Male has very little chance getting elected because the ultimate trait of a self-confident Alpha is honesty, fat chance any politican gets elected by being truthful. Hell we've only had one Alpha Male President in the last 120 years, Teddy Roosevelt. George Bush acted like an Alpha, but he wasn't a true Alpha because he was a lying sack of sh!t. Same is true for the POS **** Chenney, a want-a-be tough guy.. he put on a good act but he is really a weak @ss man.

Very few self made billionaires anymore. So what they do is hire Alphas to run their companies... odd the world has turned.

NO ONE blames Manning, Madonna, etc. for making money, because they KNOW they can't do it AS WELL as they do. BUT make them the leader of a multi-billion dollar company, and the pay somehow becomes "unfair" Media brainwashing?

Interesting thread here. I agree that people can easily be manipulated especially by the media, the heads in charge, and radical religion. It's not just "low self esteem people" or "weak minded people", "happy people", it's everybody in general that can easily be swayed by a news broadcast or a scare that the media reports to get the sheep to fall in line.

Any mention of a bird flu or ebola sends people into a panic even when no real threat is present. If they reported tomorrow some weird flu was here, people would panic running to go get a shot no matter if they had low or high self esteem.

Look how the media scared everybody into suporting the Iraq War pushing false informaton and swaying people's minds. Without that support, there would have been no chance for a war with no public support. So, the media did their best to push the news for the war to get people on the bandwagon.

Right Wing News sways gullible people's minds after they constantly lie all the time. Weak minded people still buy into the rhetoric following like sheep. Left Wing outlets will do the same to a point. It's all done as manipulation and everybody is guilty of having fall prey to it at some time in their life.

Thanks for posting your thoughts.

I agree with you on that Ranger Mike. I would add John F Kennedy as being alpha during the Cuban Missile Crisis anybody else could have fvcked things up. I would say Andrew Jackson was the most alpha President we ever had.

George bush, Cheney and his neo cons are a bunch of fake cowards who all had a chance to serve during Vietnam but found excuses to get out of serving. They had no problem sending our troops off to die based on a lie that they knew was a lie from the start.

There is no "right wing" media. There hasn't been legitimate conservative mainstream media in the U.S for at least 40 years.

Keep your Sunstein shilling and subversion to the Anything else forum you slippery little Marxist.

-bpa, hormones in the food
-24 7 free porn
-cheap alcohol
-fear media

Its easy to see how our society sets controls on men. Often self inflicted.

Bread and Circus's just like in the Roman Empire before the collapse..... ACTUALLY, if you read up on it, there are MORE similarities than we want to admit. Free bread {food stamps/welfare}, the Emperor put on the gladiator fights{we have MMA, football, etc.}, Rulers becoming less Democratic and more law breaking, etc

Didn't take long for the Head Sheep to post in here. I'm replying to Ranger Mike's comments so shut up. You say the word sh!tlib so much you'd think you were eating a mouthful. Quit being biased living in denial not wanting to live in reality.

There is a Right Wing Media. Right Wing media Groups own most of the ABC, NBC, CBS affiliates. Your brainwashed mind can't fathom that idea even when I posted links directly from the Right Wing media groups sites. This is directly from wiki that shows a Right Wing media bias. No Liberals ever did anything like that ever.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sinclair_Broadcast_Group

Sinclair has been known for making several politically motivated programming decisions across its stations, some of which have proven controversial.

In April 2004, Sinclair's ABC affiliates refused to air an episode of Nightline that featured a reading of the names of soldiers killed in the 2003 invasion and subsequent occupation of Iraq. In response, Sinclair argued that the broadcast "[appeared] to be motivated by a political agenda designed to undermine the efforts of the United States in Iraq." ABC responded, saying that the program was meant to be "an expression of respect which seeks to honor those who have laid down their lives for this country." Afterward, the company's political slant was scrutinized by critics when it was publicized that nearly all of Sinclair's recent campaign contributions were to the Republican Party. In particular, the Center for Public Integrity showed concern that the Republican slant of Sinclair's news programming, along with Mark Hyman's past history of government lobbying (particularly calling on the FCC to loosen rules regarding concentration of media ownership), made its stations provide "anything but fair and balanced news programming." Hyman disputed these allegations by stating that its newscasts were "pretty balanced" and that "the reason why some on the left have characterized us as conservative is that we run stories that others in the media spike."

Later in October 2004, just two weeks prior to the 2004 presidential election, it was reported that all 62 of Sinclair's stations would preempt prime time programming to air Stolen Honor: Wounds That Never Heal, a documentary critical of U.S. presidential candidate John Kerry's anti-Vietnam War activism. The film was produced by Carlton Sherwood, a former associate of Tom Ridge, and accuses John Kerry of prolonging the Vietnam War because of his anti-war activism. The organization Swift Boat Veterans for Truth, an anti-Kerry organization whose name become well known in the 2004 election year, was cross-promoting the film as part of a $1.4 million advertising campaign. In response, the Democratic National Committee filed a legal motion with the Federal Election Commission stating that it is inappropriate for the media organization to air "partisan propaganda" in the last 10 days of an election campaign. Following the incident, Sinclair fired its Washington bureau chief Jon Lieberman for publicly criticizing the film in The Baltimore Sun as "biased political propaganda."

In November 2010, it was reported that five Fox affiliates and one ABC affiliate owned by Sinclair broadcast an infomercial critical of President Barack Obama, Breaking Point: 25 Minutes that will Change America, which was sponsored by the National Republican Trust Political Action Group. The infomercial painted Obama as an extremist, and claimed that, during the 2008 presidential campaign, he received some campaign money from the Hamas terrorist group, and that Obama said in a speech, "You want freedom? You’re gonna have to kill some crackers! You gonna have to kill some of those babies." The special also discusses Obama advisers Van Jones and John Holdren, as well as Obama staff Anita Dunn, Kevin Jennings, Carol Browner, and Cass Sunstein—all in an unflattering light; in one case, the special claimed that Holdren said that trees should be permitted to sue humans in court. The infomercial aired at various times during the weekend of October 30 on Sinclair-owned stations in Madison, Wisconsin; Cape Girardeau, Missouri; Lexington, Kentucky; Pittsburgh; Des Moines; and Winston-Salem—all in swing states vital to the 2010 elections.

On November 5, 2012, six Sinclair stations in swing states aired a special focusing on issues surrounding the presidential election occurring the next day, such as the Libyan civil war and Health care reform; the special consisted of a series of segments which were presented by the local anchors at each station. While scheduling of the special was at the discretion of each station, WSYX pre-empted both ABC World News and Nightline to air it.

The special was met with controversy for showing a bias against Barack Obama and focusing little on Republican candidate Mitt Romney, as opposed to showcasing both candidates equally. In particular, a writer for the political website Talking Points Memo felt that the special "sounded more like Fox News than local news." A Sinclair staff member disputed these claims, stating that "no one is disputing the facts of the stories that aired in the special", and that its decision on which markets to air the special was influenced by their "news value" and resonation with the public.

Who are you trying to fool? When will we actually get to see all these "conservative" ideologies touted by the MSM? Besides the glaringly obvious it's an impossibility to who actually owns the mainstream media. They're statistically a left voting demographic and have always been in the U.S. The mere fact you leftoids only go-to retort is "Fox news hurr durr" (the one and only allowed opposition) shows the leftoid media bias.

Like I said keep your Sunstein shilling to the AE.
^ You're the fool. Looks like you are incapable of reading the truth from the information above. Stick to your rightoid media so you can follow along in line with the rest of the sheep. Without it, you can't think on your own.

Like I said, mind your own business when I'm replying to what another poster originally posted. You have plenty of threads you post your rightoid nonsense in and nobody says a word.
