I was coming out of a club the other night after last call and thinking I've got it together -- I drive an Audi A6, black on black, leather, with nice wheels. Understated and classy, IMO.
The younger 'uns are firing up their tricked-out sport compacts and their honeys are hanging out listening to the bass bins and the phat pipes. Then someone across the lot fires up old-school iron and does a slow roll-through: black 1968 Charger, tinted windows, mag wheels, chrome blower sticking up about a foot outta the hood, "Never raced her, she scares the $hit outta me," stuff. Everyone turns their head as this guy rolls, comes to a stop, revs it just to get the "racers" attention. He gets out and pops the hood to "fiddle" with it -- all he did was pull the throttle cable and rev it, showing off. Nice move, tho', and it was enough: two HOT, we're talkin' HB 8's, go over him immediately. His engine was louder than my stereo. Sounded like a dragster; took me back to high school. He wasn't a greaser, either -- no 50's Teddyboy look, just a clean-cut, Tommy-wearing, normal 20ish kid with one hell of a car. The two hotties went for a ride with him -- it was like watching one of those old car movies.
He OWNED those guys, just because he had the nads to be different and wear his balls that far out in public. My hat is off to him.
So, what do you drive, and if you use it for a pvssy magnet, what's your hookup? Is it a conversation starter, or do you find (like mine) that it often "seals the deal?" What do you think your ride says about you?
