Well I finally found a decent prospect, hooked it up for tonight...didn't go so well. I thought about the whole deal for the last 30 minutes and I think I just straight up flipped the girl out on accident.

Well I'm a CHL holder, have a .45 in the glove box and 3 mags...

We went out to eat and I was running low on gas...she wanted some gum so I stopped to get gas. Was going good-

When I went in to pay the nosey biatch went through my glovebox and the saw my handgun. So I get back in the car and it took me a few minutes to figure out she was staring out of the window...I said whats up with you? She said something like "I don't feel good, can you take me home?"

I said "Sure...whats wrong?" .....long dead silence

So I take her to her house and she gets out...says nothing and leaves. Never looked at me since we left the gas station really...I said bye and she just kinda gave me a wave after picking up her purse.

Driving home I'm like WHAT THE ****...then I start to think when she started acting weird...after I got back from paying for the gas.

I open my glove box and my gun is not clipped in the holster on my owners manual (it doesn't bounce around and stays locked in place where I can reach it) and my mags are shoved in the back all scattered and not situated like they always are.

The hell? I am not a psyco...

first of all.. you keep the gun under your seat.. not in the glove compartment.

secondly.. if she doesn't have the decency to at least ASK WHY you have a gun.. you don't need the stupid b!tch

you know what would be funny? If someone had a gun carrier in their car but instead of a real gun, it was a note inside of it that said " i have the claps".

then you are trying to kiss her the whole night and she is dogging your kisses... and then you say something like "you must have looked at my gun"

Guns scare people. She doesn't know what your motives are for having it, and she's scared to ask because she probably doesn't know you well enough. She probably found it best to get out of the situation as fast as possible. Makes sense to me.

Pity...the rare girl who actually likes to shoot is a wonderful thing. They do exist.

The question is who the hell leaves the glove box UNLOCKED when they have a .45 with fully loaded magazines in it.

Also why would you need to reach it while you're driving... Do a lot of drive-bys?

If your a grown man and the gun is legit there should be no problem. I'm in PA and everyone is strapped. EVERYONE. Even some of the little old ladies. From the hicks, to the frat guys, to dealers, to off duty cops. Read 2nd ammendment! I would have been mad that she went through my ****, personally. Still you can't blame someone for being scared.

Put it under your seat instead of in the glove box. She probably thought you were a mafioso or something!

i take dates shooting quite often. It gets them very excited,I always put them at ease with a little joke.

i tell them how I own a gun and I shoot for fun, I then tell them how if i am ever robbed im screwed because I dont keep bullets at home. So if someone was to rob me I would end up throwing the gun at them instead of shooting them.

they usally laugh, I tell it better but the point is make it seems as a fun hobby.

What's so liberal about keeping it in a locked compartment or in the trunk? What do you need it for while you're driving?

I'm not saying she's right for looking through his stuff though.

umm, locking it completely defeats the purpose of having it if someone tries to kill you. What would the point even be of locking it? Unless you have kids scrounging through your vehicle or something...

I don't errrr rather wouldn't lock mine. Our here we put it on our lap w/ the safety on. Then lay a shirt on it. People get sooo freaked out bout guns, i can kill you with a crayon, doest that mean your gonna flip if you see "little becky" coloring?

I donno, i've ever had anyone try to kill me before.... and i've been by the projects. If someone wants to kill you its usually cause of drugs, money or they're a psychopath.

My C02 gun (.177) wouldn't even have enough stopping power anyway, i just have it to shoot at targets once in a while. It's a metal beretta 92 replica. I keep it locked in my room, no need to put it in my car.

That's kind of funny. Because nearly every girl I've told that I have guns begged me to go and take them out shooting. Even the hippiest girl I ever dated wanted me to show her how to use the shotgun. I'm gonna assume that knowing how to use weapons makes them feel more secure.

Really though, everyone knows the map pocket is the place for your strap. :woo:

First let me say that I am 100% for owning guns.

But you have to look at this situation from her perspective. Say you're a young, attractive female and some really suave guy picks you up in a bar or wherever. You're feeling a little hesitant as it is because you don't know this guy at all and instead of making you feel comfortable, you find out he's secretely carrying a gun in his car. What do you do?

I'm surprised she didn't split right then and there and walk home. Basically what you should have done is either

a) leave the gun at home if you're planning on picking up chicks for the night. Yes yes, now you're supposedly screwed if the one in a million chance that you get mugged the night you leave your weapon at home. Whatever, get real.

b) found a tactful way of letting her know that although you have a weapon in the glove box, you do have a permit to carry such a weapon and its simply for self-defense purposes.

yeah, he's a guy who just picked her up in a bar so he could take her to his house and shoot her. But he decided to stop by Wal-Mart on the way home and leave her in the vehicle. And then when she asked to go home, he quietly acquiesced...

I still say this broad is a loon. This is an indicator of low-interest or mental instability -- both of which you need to stay away from!

Go find a girl who's not an idiot. Guys let women get away with such crap in our country, seriously...

Create self-fulfilling prophecies. Always assume the positive. Assume she likes you. Assume she wants to talk to you. Assume she wants to go out with you. When you think positive, positive things happen.
