Im moving into my first apartment September 1st. I know what you are saying. 34? and moving out now?

well I was going to move out about 4 years ago but my mom got really sick and she needed some assistance to help her get better. Which is fine. I wanted to be there for her just in case anything happened.

Now she is retiring and I finally decided to get out while I can. hehe.

For the past year I have been accumulating furniture, big screen tv, desks, chairs, plates, knives, and the usual stuff.

Now my question is to all my fellow DJ's who have been living(renting) in an apartment, is there anything else I should prepare for or look out for?

whether it has to do with women, finance, spirituality, or overall health please let me know.

any words of wisdom would be greatly appreciated.

CHEERS!

Good for you Poker. Good stuff.

I hated renting. Have you stashed any cash? Great time to buy a house or town home if you have a little money for a downpayment. Rates are very low as well.

Good luck.

thanks for the luck. i will need it.

in regards to a down payment, I don't have the 20% as of yet. As well, I'm going to school to become a financial adviser and working full time. So I'm pretty sure I will be able to save up for a condo within the next year and a half.

Cool. You have goals. Nice to see.

Another year and a half won't matter. The housing market will still be circling the drain.

Congrats dude. It will be the best time of your life. Don't allow any broad to hang out at your place for longer than you're comfortable with. Always have a plan to kick them out without being disrespectful. Keep your place clean.

Decorate your your place with fine art, no movie, sports, cartoon posters please. Most importantly, bang as many girls as you can in the next few years. Always be safe and wrap up. A disease or unexpected child will mess your life up.

Congratulations on your first place! I agree with not having anybody move in with you. The last thing you need is to put up with someone else's bull5hit.

As for what to do with your place, that's entirely up to you. Personally, I like having quality stuff in the bedroom. Women appreciate soft sheets, fluffy pillows, a television, and lube (if needed) :D

A comfortable inviting bed with high thread count sheets and lots of plush pillows. My Cal King never disappoints.

Always have a "just in case" fund. I try to keep 3k in the bank at all times.

Every reply is a good one.

I'm an apartment man now. Been one for over a year. I really love it. It's my magickal space. My LoveSac, my 42" lcd, my Xbox 360, my set of J.A. Henckles, my Aleister Crowley items, and my dogs' ashes are my most prized possessions.

The best thing I can suggest for you Brother is to have as many houseplants in your apartment as you can. Plants create a sense of solace and warmth. Also keep your place clean and tidy man. It helps with keeping me focused that I never have a dirty dish in the sink or a rusty sh!tter.

I have a long tin container with Sage, Thyme, Rosemary, Basil, and Cilantro growing on my kitchen window sill. Let me tell you man, you haven't had an amazing Caprese (Fresh Mozzarella, ripe Beefsteak tomato, Olive oil (I make my own garlic infused), and Basil salad until you've grown your own.

Nothing makes a woman more impressed with a man than his ability to cook.

Eating pvssy is a very close second.

I've been very impressed with victorinox kitchen knives. Great ergonomics, easy to keep sharp, grippy even soaking wet, and doesn't break the bank.

As for living in an apartment, I like it. But I know I have to do a better job of keeping everything tidy, and I need to get an actual style going. Right now its more just stuff thrown in.
