I just got back from freshman orientation for my college next year, and in one presentation they gave us a piece of information that I found highly questionable-the guy told us that sex with a woman under any influence of alcohol is considered rape, and one is incapable of giving consent when one is drunk.

At this point some dbag shouted out, "Oh **** it looks like 50% of us are rapists then!" I couldn't help but agree with his skepticism. Is this really true? If it is, does it only apply to certain states? (I'm in the USA)

On a sidenote, lately I've been interested in reading up on street laws n sh1t to protect myself--anyone know a good source for me to learn from?

That is infact the law but it shouldnt scare you. There is some risk involved with having sex with any girl, any time. She can always "claim" rape and get an investigation going. Its something that men just have to deal with.

Most RA's in college won't really care. Just bring her back to your dorm without looking like a complete drunkard and once behind doors they can't enter or do anything. If having sex with a girl that drinks is rape then plenty of girls are getting raped consistently from going t o the weekly fraternity houses. Colleges care more that you have alcohol on campus grounds, than drunk people having sex.

The RAs get tired of dealing with this crap, having women approach them about sexual abuse and then finding out that either the guy OR the girl is being "stupid" about it. They throw that out there so everyone knows to be careful.

To be honest, unless you are hideous, you can probably get laid on-campus WITHOUT alcohol. Plus, it only takes women 1 or 2 drinks to reach that fun-loving tipsy stage...which is the best place for loose inhibitions without "slop". Many women WANT to f**k, but need that one "bracer" to loosen their inhibitions enough to do it. Otherwise, the anti-slvt conditioning takes over and she goes to bed alone and frustrated again.

If she's stumbling-drunk, it's something to keep in the back of your head. That's all. It never hurts to ask yourself, "Is she aware enough of what's going on to make this decision?". I really am not turned on by the idea of hooking up with a girl against her will...she has to WANT it for me to enjoy it.

I've heard plenty of stories where guys have slept with girls but considered them too drunk to "do anything", then ended up banging them in the morning.

I believe they said that the man would have been the rape victim if the girl was sober and the man was drunk. If both were drunk, I thought that both would be accused of rape, kind of like two under-aged people having sex is considered mutual statutory rape. At orientation, the question was asked what happens when both people are drunk, and the guy answered that that would depend on the circumstances.

How does one get convicted of drunk driving if you're incapable of making decisions while drunk? All you'd have to do is get drunk and then your defense to every crime is temporary insanity.

I'll tell you a story: a friend of mine ****s a girl (both of them are drunk) and in the morning she tries to start a relationship with him asking for phone number etc. Goes on for a week before he tells her he's not into it. Girls get to be the slvts they want during the weekend and then rationalize themselves as saying it only happens when they're drunk. Just use your judgement call. If she seems out of it you'll know. I drank so much once that I blacked out I didn't remember anything past the first hour of the party. I've met a lot of slvts in my life (A LOT), and I can honestly say I've never met a bonafide slvt that wasn't a borderline alcoholic.
