Depends on the cause of the slump
"What do you use to bust out?"
---Damm good question. I'm still trying to answer that one. As long as I have the proper energy, I just move on to the next number close or next approach.
What gets really difficult is when you don't want to approach. One thing that could be going on is that the rest of your life is getting so crazy and demanding that you'd be better off dealing with these issues first, strictly for the sake of self preservation. If you're gaming so much that you're slacking off on work for example, you're in trouble. Better get back to work, son.
If work (and family matters and so on) is fine, and you have plenty of energy, time to evaluate your inner state. What are your self limiting beliefs? Some people can work through this on their own, in the form of a journal, or by talking to friends, or by doing a workshop. For others, personal therapy is required or beneficial.
A third possibility is that there is a serious problem with your game, strategy wise. Here, you might be better off recruiting a wing to get a second opinion. Ask for frank, but constructive advice on how you open, how you vibe, how you close, your body language, clothing, everything. A good wing can be invaluable. But a weak wing can bust your sets into oblivion.
