Sleeping Alot and eating alot

I've been playing some sports and exercising...I've gained alot of weight too. Everytime I exercise, the whole day I will feel really hungry and tired and for the next few days I will sleep alot and eat alot.

I gained 10 lbs but I have gained muscle too, I can see it on me..

Is there a way for me to lose that fat roll around my stomach yet continue to build muscle. Or do I have to get big and fat and then tone down.

If it is possible can you please explain how.

I did read them already..they dont address the delicate issue of working out to gain muscle and losing fat. Can it be done and how?

Unless you use steroids there is no quick way to gain muscle and lose fat at the same time (Unless you have just started working out, and going through your honeymoon period). There are ways to bulk in which to keep fat gain to a minimum, but it will take longer to put on muscle because you are not eating as many calories. And there are ways to cut that will take longer, but you will not lose much muscle mass. These factors also depend on your bodytype.

There is no QUICK way but there is a way.

Proper diet can cause your body to become more efficient at using body fat as fuel. This reduces the reliance on carbohydrates and protein as fuels, thus allowing your body to use those for muscle repair and function. Athletes who have been provided such diets, in a 'maintanence" phase (Only eating as many calories as they cosume, no more, no less) showed no sign in weight change, but did show lower body fat levels and higher lean mass levels, suggesting that they lost fat and gained muscle, while maintaining their current weight.

Its easy to imagine that maintaining the proper ratios, while adding calories, will allow you to continue to burn fat, and gain muscle.

I might just write an article on this here soon.

I guess there is no easy way

I guess I will have to put on a few pounds as I workout and try to gain some mass and then lose the fat after I am done bulking. there is no easy way and I have to do it just like everyone else.

No. That isn't always wrong. There is bad fat, and good fat. The idea is to take in about 60% of your diet from carbs, relying mainly on complex, slow digesting carbs, and taking about 1g/kg of SIMPLE carbs immediately after your workout. Then about 25% of your diet from fats, and the remaining 15% from protein. Since fat has about 9 calories per g, its not as large of an amount as you think.

I'm going to start that article here within the next couple days, give you guys some insight. You don't always need to bulk up and cut and then bulk and then cut. Theres a way to use fat as fuel, which cuts back on bodyfat and allows you to gain muscle at the same time.:moon:

I think you just made a bunch of numbers up.

^^Agreed. Nutritional requirements are based on a persons goals, lifestyle, bodytype, basal metabolic rate, allergies/intolerance to certain foods.

Numbers are not made up. Read the book Advanced Sports Nutrition. Seriously. You don't have to follow my advice, obviously, but go ahead and take the tough road.

How do you think sprinters get to be so built and lean. I can guarantee they don't "bulk" and then "cut". They don't have time for that. The nature of their sport allows them to bulk and cut at the same time, along with a well organized diet.
