sleep first and then go to the gym?

sometimes i come home from work or school and i feel exhausted. I dont know whether to sleep first and then go to the gym or vise vesra. what do you guys think?

i would sleep. its never any good to work out when your feelin like sleepin instead. alot harder to put out. fifteen minutes would probably wake you up

How much sleep are you getting at night? You should aim for 8 hours. Sometimes it can really help to take a nap during the day though if you have time. If you still go to the gym, make sure you eat at least an hour before, otherwise you won't have much energy for lifting and you increase the chances of losing muscle!

I almost always get 8 hours of sleep but it never seems to be enough.................... and when i nap sometimes i'll "nap" for up to 2 hours and 30 minutes. usually though its about an hour and 15 min.

I do take in carbs and it doesnt work....... seems as if once i get comfortable, im as good as asleep.

Uh, yeah... you lift weights on an empty stomach and you can lose muscle. Its actually easier for your body to catabolize muscle rather than fat.

Damn dude, 8 hours a night and you still take 2 hour naps? Wow! I have the opposite problem. Yeah maybe a cold shower would work for ya.

taking naps before excersice make me kinda sluggish...and then at night i have a lot of trouble sleeping

how old are you. teenagers sleep cycles are kinda screwed up because of school and everything. stuff like them supposed to be sleeping till 8 but having to be at school at 730. ive been waking up at the same time nine months out of the year for four years so im pretty used to it. try sleeping a litle more at nigiht, and a little less. and see if that helps

it's a good idea to do exercise after sleep. 90% of HGH is excreted while you sleep. So it's a good idea gym early in the morning, although your pain tolerance may be lower. Personally I don't like gym in the morning, as I can't stress myself as much as I can in the afternoon/early evening. But you need enough sleep, that's m,ore important than actual gym

i do eat turkey i would say a good amount ever 2 weeks. Plenty of skim milk. Usually whole wheat bread. I also usually eat ALOT before i sleep. I have to be IN school by 7:10, that means i have to wake up about an hour before that. Im never about to wake up early enough. On a good night i'll sleep at 10pm, Usually i sleep at 11pm.
